This evening I created a new free software license.  It's actually just a minor variation on the WTFPL, but I'm sure there will be one or two people interested in it.
I'm a big fan of free and/or open source licensing and I've used both the GPL and one or two of the BSD licenses over the years. Though I haven't used it, I'm also a fan of the WTFPL, though I have had one minor concern relating to liability. Fortunately a post by Nick Moffitt to the ...

Last week the Election Committee and the National Council voted to endorse Senator Scott Ludlam in Western Australia, where we are not fielding any candidates.  Over the last five years Senator Ludlam has been a strong advocate for civil liberties and human rights in this country.  As a consequence Senator Ludlam is the only non-Pirate candidate endorsed by Pirate Party Australia.

We encourage all our members and supporters in Western Australia to vote below the line in the Senate and help keep Scott Ludlam in a position where he can continue his excellent work.

Australian Electoral Commission - enrol to vote. You have 7 days to enrol or update your details once we know the final date of the election.

Voting is our chance to register our discontent and maintain the democratic ideals which all too often seem to be being eroded by vested interests and bullies.

I realise they're probably not of interest to most people here, but how on Earth did someone forget to include tha Nationals in that list (somewhat ironically) to the right?

Pirate Party Australia announces preferences for the Federal Election and publishes the results of party voting on preferences and deals.

Pirate Party Australia is the only political party contesting this year's election committed to this degree of transparent and democratic preference decisions.

This is a month old now, but since it hasn't been posted here yet it's worth mentioning.  The Special Rapporteur's report is absolutely worth reading, though might be preaching to the choir here.
