The Square

Hustle and bustle at night in Times Square. Fisheye HDR shot gives you a good idea of what it's like to be there.

“I love, because my love is not dependent on the object of love.
My love is dependent on my state of being.
So whether the other person changes, becomes different,
friend turns into a foe, does not matter,
because my love was never dependent on the other person.
My love is my state of being. I simply love.”

I hope people realize that there is a brain underneath the hair and a heart underneath the boobs! ;)

Being better balanced is realizing that we are really quite amazing at some things, and allowing that, as well as having that tempered by the knowledge that we're quite unskilled at the vast majority of other things ;)

Be awesome in your strengths. You're really quite good at a it :)

I am frequently awed and amazed at the skills and talents my friends have. Oh that we could see our strengths through the eyes of those who don't have them, instead of our self-diminishing eyes that downplay.

Writing and sharing these things is a challenge and a reminder to myself too

It's ok to be strong, and it's ok to be weak.
Grow in your strengths, and find better strategies for those weaknesses  Including the buddy system!

"No one wants to live in fear. I've always been scared of saying the wrong thing. I don't sleep well. I never have. But each time I tell another person, I feel stronger and sleep a little more soundly. It takes an enormous amount of energy to guard such a big secret. I've endured years of misery and gone to enormous lengths to live a lie. I was certain that my world would fall apart if anyone knew. And yet when I acknowledged my sexuality I felt whole for the first time. I still had the same sense of humor, I still had the same mannerisms and my friends still had my back."

Kudos, Jason.  'bout time someone had the guts.  Major props.  You are at the forefront of a major-league deluge.
