I've been dining here for well over 25 years, and I have never had a bad experience with any of the many dishes I have enjoyed. The tortilla chips and hot sauce are amazing! I have never tasted a better pecan praline than theirs. The location is excellent, the ambiance is warm and inviting, and the family welcomes you personally. This is a one of a kind experience and an icon of Mexican cuisine excellence.

The bowl of warm corn tortillas w/ butter.......mmmmmm! And the chile con carne? Thick, meaty, but not too spicy.

Great choice for tex-mex! I'm fairly picky about my tex-mex and all the staples are made well without being over done. The chips and salsa are fresh and very good.

We went there tonight, because dad had won a gift certificate from his work and people went on and on about how good it was and had got good reviews and I honestly don't know how. The waitress was nice enough, but I've had better customer service. The salsa had no flavor was very soupy and was more like tomato sauce, the queso was more like onion soup, our food came out the rice was dry and barely had any flavor, we had a soapilla and chocolate cheesecake for dessert. It was so nasty and gross and the fact that they charge you after your first refill on soda. It's insanely priced, so I'm glad the majority of it was already paid for!

Great food at a fair price. Best Tex-Mex place we have visited in FW. The area we moved from outside of Houston had several great places and this is the first we have found that made us feel like home. Not to mention the staff was fantastic!

My wife introduced me to them tonight & it was totally amazing. Everything that was brought to us to eat was fantastic. So I will definitely be back.

My husband and I began eating at El Rancho Grande when dating. That was 34 years ago and we still love it. Nachos Grande are a favorite. Be careful the chips and salsa are so good, you will fill up before the main course.

This is NOT authentic Mexican food, anybody who says it is does not know what mexican food is then. Bland food and queso had a weird taste. It just wasn't good. I'm from New Mexico and have yet to find REAL mexican food in the DFW area. Staff was very attentive and friendly but the food sucked.
