+Capes4Heroes makes dozens of superhero capes for our patients and their siblings, with seamstresses working in the playroom to personalize the capes for each child.

We love it when our kids can show off their super powers!

Nickie was just 23 when she got her brain cancer diagnosis. Last month, after nearly a year of treatment including surgery, seven weeks of radiation and six rounds of chemo, Nickie rang our "last-chemo" bell to celebrate finally being done!

"Nickie fighting through this and beating cancer was just a huge relief," says her father, Dave. "It has been a long road." #cancer

Last year on Oct. 31, 4-year-old Jessen was far away from his friends, undergoing radiation at our hospital. He finished his neuroblastoma treatments in April and was home for Halloween this year. Nice costume, Jessen! #SurgeonInTraining
