Max Brenner is a go once, and no need to return place. It was worth a return trip when it first opened. Now it's a dirty tourist trap, and the wait staff may ignore you. It's way over priced for the quality if the food and service. Better to go to Shane's Candy at Front & Market St. in Old City for a fun chocolate & candy experience. The owners continue a 100 year tradition of making candy on-site. Shane's traces its history to the era when Philly was the home to many chocolate makers like Wilber's.

Poor hostess service. Fair food. Good server service. We had a reservation for seven - daughter's birthday. Requested two tables - one for our daughter & her four friends and one for my wife and I. They ended placing our daughter and her friends at a bar table with stools. And didn't find places for us two for over 15mins. When i went back to check - they placed us at a table right next to front door and the front reception desk. Very poor experience. ..

Over hyped over rated. Not worth it. Disappointing to say the least.

Basically you gotta be in the gift shop and get out. I paid an insane amount of money for an order of chili and cocoa powder fries as well as a chocolate pizza. As for the fries being covered in chili powder and cocoa powder, maybe the first few but for sure not them all. I ordered a pizza with two toppings(Hazel nut and banana), and the server tried to give us a pizza with peanut butter on it. I told her I was allergic . Its a small thick crust cold with some smeared on chocolate spread and scattered toppings. The pictures online are deceiving. I was furious to be paying that much for what I got.

A bit expensive but amazing food quality and setting. If you look for something fancy and enjoyable. This is the one

Definitely a place to go for your chocolate fix. Not the best food, but not bad either. However, the milkshake I had was probably the best I've ever experienced in my life...hands down.

There is usually a wait, so reserve ahead of time. If you walk in they can also take your phone number and let you know when a tables ready. The desserts are great!

The prices are a bit steep for some items, like the granola with yogurt. However, it was a reasonable portion. This isn't a great vegetarian spot unless you are just coming for dessert. Sandwiches are good and reliable. The acoustics aren't great, so don't come to have intimate conversations. This is really an attraction with food. Expect to eat and drink rich things here.
