I really enjoyed the reviews and the site is well laid out. I read about a dozen...mostly beers I've tried or am wanting to try. I'm not good at going to a lot of different sites on a regular basis, but if you post the reviews here or links when you update, I will read them.
A few comments on some of the beers themselves...
I had just picked up a Trappistes Rochefort the other day and it's in my fridge...alas, I checked and mine is a 6 and now I feel compelled to seek out the 10 since it's supposed to be one of the best...I'll keep my eye out.
I recently tried the Self-Righteous and liked it a lot. I've liked most of the Stones I've tried...though I have to say I wasn't a huge fan of the 15th that everyone seems to like so much. I think it's a case of the type of beer, not the quality of it.
Which leads me to the Sierra Nevada Bigfoot...I guess I'm just not a barleywine kind of guy. I love Sierra Nevada and everything I've tried by them...up til this one.
I'm anxious to try the Dogfish Punkin. I'm hoping that either BevMo or Whole Foods have them now...they didn't on my last beer run a couple weeks ago. I see how much you liked the Sam Adams pumpkin. Last year my girlfriend and I got a sample pack of Sam Adams just to get it and liked it. She drank them (she's a huge pumpkin fan), but I sampled it and liked it. I'm not sure, it'd be nice if they'd release it by itself this year. The other new pumpkin we want to try is the Shock Top.
Loved your Yuengling story, and was just a part of one myself. We have several friend that rave about it and I tried it and it was fine, but nothing I'd seek out like they do...and I'm wondering if it's not the lack of availability that drives the desire some haha. I was just in Cincinnati for a Buffett concert and we were meeting a friend who LOVES it, so we bootlegged him a couple 12 packs and he was so thankful he bought us lunch.
The next day, we had lunch at Hofsbrau. I didn't try the Oktoberfest, but now wish I had. We usually go once a year...so next time I'll try it.
I discovered the KY Bourbon Barrel Ale a year or two ago in a hotel bar in Louisville...it was the best option they had and I liked it and had several.
Anchor Steam was one of the first beers I tried when venturing out further in the beer world back in college. I loved it and drank it pretty regularly back in the mid 90s.
Good reviews...I liked reading them. Keep up the good work!
