Steel tracks clickity clac: velorail, our family day out

Following my recent article, we decided to try the Velorail. And let me tell you that was a day out to remember. 11 km (2 hours) of family time and fun! The lanscapes are awesome : plenty to see since you go through a tunnel, over a river, past the old train stations of Corgnac (last train was running in 1991), through a tunnel, junction with the roads...)and you enjoy the fresh air: a real treat!

So here s a few tips and a few photos:

Tips:
- arrive early to purchase the tickets and fill in the paperwork, then you can come back later on for the ride without the hassle to queue.
- The extra tener for the electric assistance is wellll  worth it!. You still have to pedal but it is a more enjoyable experience since you don't break a sweat!!!
- Don't look for the toilets at the departure, there is none (only at the arrival). So drive up to the village of Corgnac, and use the spotless and free public toilet located next to the post office.
- During the week, you can't have a pic nic at the arrival  (only at the week end) but in the village, we found a lovely& quiet spot near the river for our lunch.
- Try to be last in the queue so you leave first and arrive at the top for the toilets first. It can get a bit crazy the toilets that is.
