Help #Green the #Internet! "Tech giants Facebook, Google and Apple recently committed to harnessing renewable energy like wind and solar to power their data centers. There is plenty of clean energy for our favorite social media companies to use — they just have to hear from us that it’s worth the switch."

Can't help but think something illegal is going on here at our local shopping center. Hey avocados are expensive, can't blame someone for trying to make a buck (unless they are stolen)! #streetcornerhustling

I think you mean Eostre, a goddess of the dawn.  In northwestern Europe, a land of bitter winters, the "Festival of Eostre" would be held in the springtime to celebrate the annual rebirth of the world.  That which had lain dormant for months was coming back to life: animals were being born; trees and flowers were starting to grow again; the days were getting ever longer.  Totems of birth -- eggs and rabbits for their symbolism of fertility and fecundity -- were celebrated.

This is such a cool place!  Salton Sea in Southern California, near San Diego.  Have you ever been there?
Salton Sea  One of our favorite places in #California, created by an "engineering disaster" which caused a flood creating the lake.  Over 400 bird species have been documented there, and it's a
major resting stop on the Pacific Flyway.  It's a fascinating place! Advice: Don't taste the water, and wear shoes on the shore because of the fish bones !

"The Salton Sea was created when the Colorado River jumped its banks in 1905 and gushed into an ancient salt sink straddling Riverside and Imperial counties."  Los Angeles Times

How the World's Most Brilliant People Scheduled their Days  No time for counting out an exact number of coffee beans.  What about you?  Maybe I should re-examine my priorities! ; )
Alas, there are but 24 hours in a day. And when you have a seemingly insurmountable load of work, it can be a quite a challenge to even know where to start. But remember that history's most legendary figures -- from Beethoven to Beyonce -- had ju...

Web & Social Media Marketing Consultant | A bleeding ♥ wanting to save the world.
I became a "save the earth" person in my 20's when I met an inspiring biology professor.  He was the reason I became a vegetarian to save the rainforest. I boycotted McDonald's for years.

I was tired of working for attorneys, and went to work for the Cheetah Conservation Fund which was located in the Ojai hills in a botanical garden.  (Think Shangrila, with hippies and sweat lodges.)

I called Ventura County Airporter over 24 hours in advance to make a reservation over the phone. We got there early, and the driver, Romero, told us that we weren't on the list. And if we weren't on the list, then we have to pay. I told him I did not want to pay twice, because the tickets are nonrefundable. So he left us there. An off-duty driver offered to call and straighten this out for us. Turned out, they booked us for the wrong day, AND the wrong trip. The lady went into the office (it was right there), and printed our tickets out for us. Then she drove us in her own car to Oxnard to meet the shuttle driver that blew us off. I had my doubts letting him drive us to LAX, since he was so rude, but I didn't want to waste the $60. So, it was the worst ride of our lives and I didn't know if we'd make it there in one piece. My brain was rattled, and I do NOT recommend that infants, older people or people with medical conditions attempt this ride. Also, make sure you pay when you get there, if you want to take the risk. This situation could have been dealt with in a professional and courteous manner, but instead it upset us and my young daughter was to the point of tears. I will *never* ride another shuttle again to the airport. PS I called to explain the horrible customer service to the manager, but I was told that she is too busy to talk on the phone and I could send an email. And no one ever apologized, or offered a discount or anything of the nature. That sums it up.
