Android Wear 2.0 is here.

Come join us for a simple walk-through on setting up a standalone 2.0 app in Android Studio.

These apps run directly on the watch and can be downloaded directly on the watch from the new Play Store for watches.

Bring your laptops if you want to participate in the building.

Check here and make sure you have your dev environment setup:

We're also open to talking about any other Google technologies you might be using or are interested in like Cloud, Prediction Engine, BigQuery, Search, Finance, or other API's.

Bring a friend, or 2!  As always, everyone is welcome.  Hope to see you all there.

Using your Smartphone as a platform for virtual reality (VR) goggles is becoming more and more popular in recent years. Google, Samsung, LG, HTC, and many other companies are building VR goggles and housings for their devices. It's a fun system and there are many applications that can be thought of. Come join us to discuss this and also Google’s I/O conference is coming up, so bring your predictions on what you’d like to see announced and we can discuss that as well as many other topics.

As always everyone is welcome!

Don't forget your laptop's if you'd like to work on some code.

To protect the system's integrity and the user's privacy, Android runs each app in a limited access sandbox. If the app wants to use resources or information outside of its sandbox, the app has to explicitly request permission.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow saw the introduction of runtime permissions. These permissions are granted (or rejected) by the user at runtime rather than at installtime.

Depending on the type of permission the app requests, the system may grant the permission automatically, or the system may ask the user to grant the permission.

We'll be talking about this and any other topics you'd like.

As always, everyone is welcome.

Please bring your laptops if you'd like to work on some code.
