The Annual MEng Project Demonstrations, 9th June 2016
This year we have seven teams working on a variety of projects in robotics, power networks, electric vehicles, sensors, virtual reality and e-Agri applications, many of which have industrial support/collaborators. All have strong potential for real-world application.
Our thanks to members of the School's Industrial Advisory Group for their support of this event.

Here are some photos from the Embedded Systems Project... otherwise known as the 2nd year buggy race!

This project is one of the highlights of the 2nd year. It integrates two important aspects of modern electronics, namely computer engineering and software engineering. During their second year students work in a team to produce a robot design that will follow a white line, climb a ramp and stop at the end - in the fastest time possible.

The challenge starts at the beginning of the year and builds up to the race day at the end of term. The teams use a microcontroller development system and work in teams of four or five to create their buggies.
