THE LAST JEDI
Episode 8

30 seconds have passed. Rey is still standing there holding out the light sabre. Her arm is going to start getting tired soon.

Luke has had his years of solitude invaded by a stranger. He sees the object that he last held on the last day he had an actual human hand to hold anything with. He wonders who this strange woman is and why she's bringing him the weapon his father used to murder 30+ children in cold blood. What has he ever done to her to deserve having her reopen this old wound?

As the silence has gone on just long enough to start to get awkward, Luke's thoughts turn to his one remaining friend in the galaxy, the droid R2-D2, and wonders why the rat bastard gave him up.
