I'm excited to watch snaps evolve. If you want to be a part of the next phase, here's your chance to show up and make a difference.
Here is a chance for you or your project to help shape the snap story! Apply for participation and sponsorship to attend the next snap sprint this summer in Germany.

Unity8 on the desktop... again...

If it's been awhile since you've tried it out, give it another go! You don't have to leave the safety of xenial, nor impact your current desktop.

I just wanted to highlight +Martin Pitt's containing work on autopkgtest. This tool has proved invaluable as a Swiss army knife for testing anything on ubuntu. It's gotten a lovely cli update which should make it easier to grok for new users (as well as folks like me who tend to forget inane syntax).

The winners from Uubuntu for #GCI2015 are enjoying a well deserved trip to Google this week as part of there reward. I thoroughly enjoyed working with all the students and community as a part of Google Code-In last year. I was impressed by what everyone was able to accomplish.

Congratulations again Matthew and Daniyaal!

This is good fun, and you don't even need to be yakety for it!

Quality!

I've been a pbuilder user for years, but since I've had to start really working on some packaging issues, it's been cumbersome. Today I finally took the time to do a full sbuild setup, including using a proxy and /dev/shm. Wow! I've no idea why I waited so long. It was fairly painless to setup, and my disks and network no longer suffer during builds.

I think I'm in love.
