The punchline, as many of you will know, is "It's a cookbook!" I checked, and it turns out the original story was written by Damon Knight in 1950 for Galaxy Science Fiction, and then used in 1962 for an episode of The Twilight Zone. This Visitor in the avenues of Brussels brought a generous array of tableware; I sure hope his heart is in the right place. Er, well, you know what I mean :-)
