eschew skeumorphism

a game for iPhone

You can’t read an Apple-related news story or blog post these days that doesn’t mention skeumorphism: the design pattern than models virtual on-screen objects after real-world counterparts. 

zeitgeist is a game that is as far from faux-stitched leather as you can get. It strips the graphics down to the bare minimum, and then goes one step further and strips the game-play down too.

The game opens with an invitation to complete the first level, and after you tap start you’re on the own. Half the fun is working out what you are supposed to be doing - but don’t worry, it’s hard.

Gameplay is simple, but challenging and gets progressively more tricky and consuming. This first release is deliberately simple with minimal twists - subsequent updates will expand upon these ideas.
