Helpful DIY tips for blow-drying until your next visit to Hairventure
Don’t we all feel great after our hair has been professionally cut and blow dried? You are the same person that walked into the salon earlier, but you feel more attractive and more confident. But what to do a few days later, when you’re too busy to go back to your stylist? Can you do it by yourself? You can, at least, try – for sure you won’t become an expert the second you pick up your brush and blow dryer – it took time before your stylist gained his/her skills and experience. Keep reading and practice our little tips and tricks that will make your daily beauty efforts easier.
1. Your stylist uses quality products, so start from there – we use and recommend Kerastase and Phyto because experience has taught us these won’t weigh your hair down.
2. Use towel before blow dryer to avoid excessive heat and reduce damage.
3. Not every brush will do the job. If you watched our stylists, you saw carefully selected Olivia Garden brushes in their hands: a brush with bigger barrel for long hair and adding more volume; a brush with smaller barrel for shorter hair or for tighter curls. When you asked for straight, sleek look, we used a paddle brush…Or if you’re not sure what to buy, simply ask your stylists to select the right ones next time you visit Hairventure.
4. If you followed step 2 and towel dried your hair, move on and detangle your hair with wide tooth comb, and apply some (not too much!) styling product – make sure you have a product that will act as a protector as well. Set your dryer to medium heat and quickly dry the roots.
Ready for styling? Just remember it takes patience and practice, so do not give up if you don’t “replicate” your stylist’s artwork at once!
It’s time to split your hair into sections – make 3-4 at the back and 2 more sections at the sides, and use clips to keep them apart.
If you want a sleek look, take a section of your hair, put a paddle brush underneath and your blow dryer should be pointed downwards; start from the root – move the brush and dryer down your hair. Keep repeating this until your hair is dry. Do it again but with cold air do seal desired style.
When you want some waves, pick the right sized barrel, split your hair as above, and start at the bottom: wrap your hair around the brush; again, the blow dryer should be pointed downwards – pull the brush down along with your dryer, section by section. When your hair is dry, repeat it all over with cold air.
Finally, fix your style with a finishing spray. And do not forget – never point your dryer up, if you want to reduce frizz.
We hope our little tips will help you, and whenever you need extra confidence and some pampering, you can come over to Hairventure. We’re open even on Sundays and ready to provide the finest salon experience in Weston.

Hair breakage can be reduced if you adopt the right hair care routine:
1. Use clarifying shampoo at least once a month to remove products that we use every day, but usual shampoos cannot wash them out completely. Phyto offers quality products made of natural ingredients, and we warmly recommend Phytoneutre for this purpose.
2. Always use a protein rich conditioner, like Phytobaume Repair, which contains botanical keratin, hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and pomegranate extract to hydrate your hair and protect it from breakage.
3. Use oil, but keep in mind that oils do not hydrate, they nourish your hair – so do not skip conditioning.
4. Split ends have to be trimmed – there’s no product that can really repair them; besides, they do not look attractive at all and regular trims are the only way to get rid of damaged, split ends.
5.  Forget about brushing wet hair; it’s better to use a wide toothed comb to detangle your hair and leave brushing for half dry hair.
6. In attempt to save some money, many ladies apply permanent color and hair relaxers by themselves and forget that overlapping of certain chemicals can cause severe hair damage. Such things are safely done only in trained hands, so it’s better to let professionals do that. You can still save some money by proper daily care and following our advice.
Specialized in color, cutting, styling & hair extensions, http://Hairventure.com/ serves guests from Weston, Coral Springs, Davie, Pembroke Pines and wider Fort Lauderdale area. Our hair salon offers great special deals for our first time and regular guests. Top quality hair care products are also available in our online store.

Can you imagine a product not packed in a corrugated box? It’s a tough task, since more than 95% of the products in the US use corrugated boxes for packaging and shipping. Their main characteristics – light weight, low price, great protection of the products during handling and shipping, easy product branding – make this packaging the favorite among retailers, wholesalers and producers.
Important reasons why corrugated boxes are so widely accepted:

- When this packaging is used, weight of cargo is more than 50% reduced compared to wooden crates.
- Ecologically sensible choice: Raw material used for production of corrugated fiberboard is 100% natural. Thanks to its easy disposal, the final product is widely recycled – in the US recycling rate is already over 80%.
- In the process of making corrugated from wood, more than 60% of consumed energy originates from renewable resources (biofuels)
- US forest industry plants 1.7 million new trees daily, which mean that more than three new trees are replanted for each harvested tree. The result – there are over 12 million more acres of forests now than twenty years ago in the US!
- Fast production and assembly – cutting and mounting of a corrugated box takes only 30% of time necessary to make a wooden container. It is also easy to disassemble such box.
- They are strong enough for stacking up to 35 ft height - a real benefit considering high costs of storage facilities.
- Hygiene is important factor: a package is used only once, so there are no suspicious residues, and cleaning & drying is needless. This is reason why even food, like fresh meet or fish, is often in corrugated package.
- Depending on purpose, corrugated boxes can be treated to provide protection against water, grease, oil, static electricity, abrasion, etc.
- Great for marketing purposes: carton boxes, especially those made of virgin, not recycled fiber allow high quality printing.  It makes them a powerful branding tool. Add your logo, eye-catching colors, graphic that grabs attention of consumers, and it’s a package that really sells – a box becomes a silent salesman! The box often accompanies the products from the packing to the moment of selling, as it is used as a support for displaying the products on the shelves.
Well designed corrugated package is truly “retail ready” – it is less expensive than other forms of packaging; it is great for branding; very strong but easy to open; easily compacted; and easy to recycle.

A good hairbrush is real investment and has to be carefully selected. It is more than a styling accessory as a good brush helps create shine by distributing oils from your scalp evenly over hair. Ask Hairventure Salon & Spa stylists to choose the perfect one for your style. We give two thumbs up for "Olivia Garden" brushes and you can buy them online at http://www.hairventure.com/index.php/home/hairventure-online-shop/hair-accessories/130/hair-accessories/olivia-garden-brushes2012-06-19-11-18-081909433587
