This was hands down the biggest rip-off I've ever experienced. I just came back from a vacation and noticed our up-stairs air was not working. Looked at the inside and outside units and they were completely frozen up. Did some DIY research online and found that it might be dirty filters and we had not changed them in some time. I replaced the dirty filters and followed a tutorial to thaw out my units. Next step was to fire the a/c back up to see if it was still icing up. Minutes later the ice was starting to form on the coils and on outside copper lines. I called AND Services to come checkout the problem. They came out, very put together and friendly. Looked at my inside unit and instantly started the sales process about "how I got screwed this way or that way" because I had a newer outside unit and older (13yrs old) inside unit. "No wonder you had it freeze etc." This is all before any evaluation of the problem or inspection (besides visually looking at the coils inside) was done. Then he commented on some rust and that there must be a leak (even before hooking up the gear outside to check the freon levels). I showed him how it freezes and he quickly pointed out that the rust and old unit needed to be replaced. Since it was R22 it would have to be switched to the new system etc. (Once again, had not even checked the freon levels and all this selling was going on). Then we go outside, he hooks up his stuff. Says... you are a pound and a half low. Then proceeds to tell me how wronged I was because the last guy just replaced the outside unit with a new R22 unit (instead of the new system). That comment "I got screwed" was probably said 20 times. So now i'm talking to him inside my house about options. He said you have a leak and it's in your old coils (please note, a leak test was never run in any fashion). He could replace the coils but it was 7-10 days to get that part and it would cost $3,000 to do that which is almost as much as a new air handler but since it was R22 we could not get a new handler, the whole system needed to be replaced. After some more research, I could get a coil for $1300 plus install plus coolant which is WELL BELOW $3,000. So here is where the most shady part of the current HVAC sales pitch. The "technician" at my house would put me on "speaker phone" with his boss so I could "hear" the conversation directly with his manger who was pricing things up. This "speaker phone job" is all part of the sales process. So his manager is like... "oh, another one got screwed huh" and "we will set him up right" and crap like that to make you feel like they will take care of you etc. Then there was the conversation where the technician and manger are talking (and I can conveniently overhear) saying stuff like "I can't believe someone did that to them etc." Then my rep says that they can get me a great deal on a Bryant system and "take my 2yr old Trane R22 compressor" in "Trade" and get this $8500 Bryant system down to under $7,000. They do some talking (now not on speaker phone) and say "with your trade we can do $6500 and change" (I don't have the exact number). My parents just got the same bryant system for $5300 3 months ago. They come back and say they can do it for $5600. I say no (because they are getting my trade for free). I was given a last ditch offer as guy was leaving for $5K. I let him leave and got a second opinion. Long story short, another technician from another company came out, tested the system, and said you are only down "half a pound". He topped it off. We put my a/c panels back together because I had not done that after checking for ice. He said "that is probably the reason it kept freezing up after you thawed it" because air is not going thru the coils. Low and behold, the only reason it was freezing up after my "dirty filters" froze it is because I had not put the panels back on. My 5K complete replacement final offer from AND Services was fixed by a $122 dollar service call and half a pound of coolant. It's working just fine. You guys SUCK.

First of all, Captain Greg is a Snook freak. I've never seen someone so dialed in on a species, even in January! Absolutely loves fishing Tampa Bay and St. Petersburg and puts me on the fish every time. Just went out a couple weeks ago with some buddies from Gainesville and caught Snook, Redfish, and Trout. The trout were HUGE! Can't wait for Spring...
