Just a thought; if you were to record your own video and audio outside the hangout too, and you were to merge the hangout recording with your video, you could edit a version with perfect sound and visibility. That way is much better to watch later. I know it takes work and equipment, but it would surely help a lot. Just my 2c.

Thanks for the show!

+Willem Kossen That's a great idea, maybe I'll try it on the next one.... I'll have to get bigger memory cards :)

Now this single board bowl idea is going straight to my todolist. I want to get started turning bowls, still without a chuck, but i'll work with the faceplate. I saw Cip's video too. This is nice!.

Btw, a while (a year?) ago thiswoodwork (i think the channel is called) did a very large one. If you havent seen it, check it out. Young turner from the UK.

+Willem Kossen Thank you Willem.
This type of bowl saves a lot wood, and isn't that time consuming like a segmented Bowl with 12 or more segments per ring.
It's really worth a try. I was surprised about how well the reverse mounting on the big faceplate worked. I didn't put a lot pressure on the tailstock, but with the non-slip material in between the bowl and the chuck it stayed pretty stable.
I've seen the bowl from Alex, this was a big one!
Greetings from Good Old Germany

Well, its me. But i hurt myself the most with a simple handsaw and my hand in the wrong place. Nothing serious so far. Once drilled my finger through a board. Just a small scar and a lesson learned. I guess im pretty careful normally.

Just wow. Thats a brave thing to attempt. What a lovely result! I would never have come up with the idea to turn something like that. Nice!

The Tesa tape as actually available in diy shops in my country. Its used to tape insulation material underneath floors and behind walls etc. Ive used it a few time already. Good stuf. One thing to be aware of is it will deteriorate over time and old tape is hard to remove, leaves a sticky guewy mess that needs terpentine or thinner to get rid of. So dont leave it on there too long and use it up within lets say a year. In my country 'Netherlands' its not that expensive as you said. Might be a European company ?

Willem,  I agree, I have left that tape on way too long and it is amazing how hard it is to separate two pieces of wood.
I could actually use it more than I do I just forget sometimes.  Thanks for watching
