The ability to track Google keyword searches is officially done. I see a lot of SEM's trying to downplay it. I admire their optimism. It's a big deal. http://ow.ly/paTMM

We're always excited to launch new websites, but we get really excited when we're able to launch a site as snazzy as this one. Mayme Baker Studio's new website seamlessly displays hundreds of gallery pics and over 400 MBS collected home decor and houseware offerings available for purchase online. The site is optimized for search to attract local traffic as well as product-specific eCommerce traffic. And it's all neatly wrapped into a clean, aesthetically pleasing, responsive web design that is a worthy representation of Mayme's breadth of sophisticated offerings.

The idea for this blog came upon reading polling data which showed the majority of people are against wanting to be tracked on the web. But does the layperson understand what being "tracked" really means? A few things to understand.

I continue to believe this issue has fed off an incredible amount of misinformation. 'Tracking' does not mean that advertisers & websites are tracking your SSN, ripping off your email address without permission or logging your home address. It is simply using consumer data so that it can better serve a more relevant, targeted experience for users online. The more targeted the experience, the more targeted the ads & the better it is for the end user (relevant ads, keeping the web free/inexpensive) And the better for companies & advertisers in reaching their market. 'Tracking' is loaded, often misused & isn't shaping a productive, honest conversation. In my opinion.
