The troubling thing about climate change is that the ocean is rapidly absorbing all of the extra heat that is building up. Even though the weather has been getting worse and worse, the warming in the atmosphere is actually being mitigated, because of the ocean's heat capacity. What is happening in the ocean is scary!

"Scientists developing latex replacement that self-lubricates, delivers Viagra"

Seems silly right? But it's actually really interesting and important for public health! A grant from the Gates foundation was granted to this team to develop the 'condom of the future'.

"The Foundation says that despite condoms being cheap, easy to manufacture, easy to distribute, and available globally, the “stigma” of decreased pleasure can prevent their use."

Check out this sweet simulation of the earth's plates moving around over the last 200 million years! The motions of the plates aren't so steady over this long time-scale - plates emerge and disappear, speed up and slow down.

Even if everyone in California cut back on their personal water consumption by 50%, that would only save us 2% of the water. So, this is why taking shorter showers or not getting served water at a restaurant won't really help California's drought.

Why did you show me 8192? Now my life is ruined until I can get it. Is 16384 even possible?
