Pulley belt recall for my car and I really need to get my car inspected. Sick. Nasty.

You know, as I sit here - preparing to head to a meeting with the people who are helping me with my name change early next week. I am reminded that sometimes things go exactly the way we want them to.

I called it, nearly twenty weeks ago, that I was going to have my name change underway early this year. As terrifying as everything has been, for these first few months - that is exactly what is happening.

I'm still trying to get words together. But as someone working to get my shit together as an actor, Alan Rickman was always someone who was quietly important to me.

He was an amazing performer, who didn't get his start until he was 26, which means a lot to nearly 29 year old me working to get my acting shit together.

I remember watching him and movies and thinking he was cool. And then he was Severus Snape and I spent the better part of a semester in high school power walking into the library, slamming my hand on the table and imitating his distinctive voice and commanding my friends to "Turn to page three-hundred and ninety four."

This one hurts.
