DARKFALL is a movie that uses magic to accomplish terrifying illusions. No CGI and shot on film. Please take a moment to check out our Kickstarter page:

I've spent the last ten years studying and performing every scam I've ever heard of for film and television. Stories of Titanic Thompson have fascinated me since I was a kid and, thanks to a lot of persuasion, one of Thompson's old crew members agreed to talk to us on camera about the greatest hustler who ever lived.

An incredible Automaton collection and one of the most magical rooms I've visited. The dragon is still my favorite piece.

He showed them that - all done by magnets if I recall? I wanted to go as soon as I saw the episode. Amazing house!

Tonight at 9pm on The History Channel (USA only) is the premier of my two-hour special, "SCAMMED" - an expose of cons and scams pulled on real people for real money. It's the biggest con I've pulled to date against a very savvy mark. Please spread the word. P

Ruined Star Wars with multiple projector failures - had to argue for compensation in form of free tickets but they then quibbled about honouring those tickets for BvS. Dreadful experience, rude manager and untrained staff. Update: I received comp tickets (again) after last complaint so we used them for Jason Bourne. Sat at the back left and was constantly distracted by a bright green LED flashing intermittently on some sort of monitor mounted to the wall. On leaving, there's no one to tell except teenagers tidying up spilled popcorn. No one resembling a supervisor in sight when getting tickets either. Essentially, these multiplex companies are cinema vending machines. When your purchase gets caught in the wire and doesn't fall as expected, there's no one around with the key. If you've got decent sound and can turn the lights off at home, I recommend waiting and watching new movies there. Or go to The Grosvenor, The GFT or The Filmhouse (in Scotland). These types of places tend to value the experience of cinema as well as the opportunity to sell bad food. In most cases, modern cinemas are just noisy snacking opportunities where phones, talking and inconsiderate behaviour is universally tolerated. No one loves cinema more than me and I can confirm that Cineworld, Odeon and Vue are not the places to find it. Sadly.
