If you are interested in different travel dates, please contact us.

For those of you who haven't joined us in Cozumel before:

Passport:
You will need a passport to board your flight. The date on the passport must be a date of at least six months before it expires. You will present your passport to the customs agents upon arrival into Mexico and upon return to the USA. The resort will ask to view your passport.

Flights:
We can book your flights; however, our broker adds an extra charge. By booking your own flight, you can use any points or air miles that you have to save money. We will be flying out of Killeen / Houston.

Customs & Immigration Forms:
You will be asked to fill out these two forms while on the plane. Please bring a pen. You will use your passport and flight information to fill these out. Mexico uses a red light / green light system to screen luggage. Press a button and get green, you will pass through. A red light means that customs will review your bags.

Cozumel Airport / Transfer Fees:
We've got you covered from the Cozumel Airport to the resort. You will receive a travel voucher to hand to the drivers. A driver will deliver you to the resort. Cozumel city ordinance protects newly arrived passengers through this program. Taxi drivers are not allowed to pick up passengers from the airport. You will not save money by lugging your bags several blocks down the island to catch a taxi.

Resort:
Grand Park Royal is an all inclusive resort with a beach area. Meals, drinks, and in-house entertainment are included. Rooms have a safe and a mini-fridge. Wifi access is provided in the open lobby area. There are three pools on the property with hot tubs. A kids club has activities. Hotel taxes, fees, and gratuities are part of the all inclusive package.

Diving/Snorkeling:
Cozumel is well known for its reefs. We've included three 2 tank boat dives in the diver package. The Dive Shop is next door to the resort. There is a buoyed off area for shore dives and snorkeling off of the house reef. If you would like a different dive package, please contact us to accommodate you.

SCUBA Lessons:
If you would like to become a certified diver, contact us. We are certified dive professionals that can guide you to the best choices. We have logged many dives in Cozumel.

Money:
Cozumel takes USA dollars and Mexican pesos. There is no need to exchange money. Please be aware that you may experience debit or credit card overseas usage fees. Check with your financial institutions before you go. It is common to pay in USA bills and receive pesos as change.

Excursions:
Cozumel has many island activities. You can spend a lazy day on the shore, shop, cruise on a pirate ship, take the tequila tour, submerge yourself in a submarine, explore the Mayan ruins, scooter around the island, swim with marine life, blaze jungle jeep trails, zip line, learn to salsa, etc. Playa de Carmen is a ferry ride away. Beyond Playa you can find cenotes and the largest Mayan ruins, Chichen Itza. Excursions are not included in the all inclusive package. But, our island connections can assist you in finding activities for you to enjoy.

Water:
The resort has potable water which means that it is safe to drink. For those sceptics, you will find bottled water readily available.

Taxis:
The resort concierge will hail a taxi for you when requested. Please ask the taxi fare rate to your destination before departing. You will often receive a better rate by paying with pesos.

El Centro:
El Centro is the heart of San Miguel, Cozumel. This is the hub for shopping, entertainment, and dining. When the cruise ships are docked ,the area is more crowded. Make it well known that you are not a cruise ship passenger. There is a 40% mark-up for cruisers.

Island Time:
Cozumel runs on "island time." Things happen when they need to happen. This is a place to relax and unwind. Take a Mexican minute and enjoy yourself.
