Flowers  -

Anyone know what flower this is? They came with the house and are definitely something I haven't seen before.

Amaryllis, blubs grown indoors for Christmas; does very well outdoors in deep south.

I am waiting on a mini-hdmi adapter and my raspi lapdock will be complete! Turbo mode will make it even better.

Compiling raid card drivers and zfs into ubuntu is a lot of fun. Hopefully I'll get this going sometime today

Chatter and Introductions  -

My first post and my first raised bed that will be dedicated to herbs.
I still want to section it off somehow. To keep plants from invading each other's space.
Currently I have quite a few herbs and medicinal plants starts inside, including: oregano, mints, dill, camomile, valerian, sage, rosemary, parsley, St. Johns wart, lemon balm, echinacea, feverfew...

I have oregano, thyme, and sage, which are all perennials in my part of NYS.
I planted 4 very small sage plants, 2 small oregano plants and 6 very small thyme plants (all starter plants)  and the area each is taking up is
about 18 inches by 18 inches full grown (Oregano about 24 by 18 inches) and in 3+ years of maturity, grow beautifully and are healthy but
have not spread beyond those dimensions. It's nice because they are perennials, so I know how much space I have left for the annuals.
