A massive rally was organised at the Jantar Mantar/New Delhi on clarion call of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) on 17th November, 2017. As per an estimate, the strength of the rally was around 3-4 lakhs. It was an historic rally. Due to the pressure of the such a huge rally, the Government of India was forced to listen the 'genuine' demands of the workers/employees/Mazdoors and call the delegation from the BMS in the evening of the 17th November, 2017. The senior Minister of the Government of India, Shri Arun Jaitleyji met the delegation and assured to look into the demands viz. representation of the labourers and farmers in Niti Aayog for policy making, making economic policy human-centric and generation of more jobs by promoting small cottage and agro-based Industries. Other demands include increase in the minimum wage, raising the income Tax exemption limit to Rs.5 lakh, etc. Thereafter, each affiliate Federations of the BMS, was given call for a separate meeting with its Minister in charge.

In this connection, Bharatiya Railway Mazdoor Sangh (BRMS) was invited to have a meeting with Hon'ble Minister for Railways Shri Piyush Goyalji on 18th November 2017 (Saturday) at Railway Board. A memorandum was handed over by MR by the delegates of BRMS under the leadership of Shri M M Deshpandeji, President/BRMS and Shri Ashok Shuklaji, Secretary General/BRMS. Shri B. Surenderan, Organising Secretary/BMS and Shri Pawan Kumar, Asstt. Organising Secretary/BMS were also present in the meeting for guidance. The 21-points memorandum was discussed in details and copy of the same is attached herewith. The Hon'ble Minister assured the delegates to consider the demands positively.
