Branch of a buzzy local chain serving up pies with gourmet toppings, subs & beer in a funky setting.- Google
"My favorite pizza is the BBQ Chicken and it is good."
"The dough is pretty plain and tasteless as well."

Went here quite a few months ago but all I remember is the line moved fairly fast and the food is great. The employees working there we're very helpful at helping us make our own pizzas given us new creative ideas. I definitely recommend this place for like a first date type deal or even make a family outing

Best pizza in Utah! That goes for all the rest. Also, bring a pen because they have a tradition of writing you name on their wall. Never had one issue with this place.

The biggest problem with this place is the lack of wait staff. The no waiter system works at the original U of U location because the place is so small. But it doesn't work here because the place is big and on two different floors. If you are in a large group upstairs this is a big inconvenience. Everything must be ordered downstairs and paid for immediately. After ordering you have to wait and carry the food/beverage yourself upstairs to your table. You can not run a tab for a table like most restaurants. Think McDonald's service at a premium price. Problems this causes which are unique to this set-up. 1. If you arrive early and you want to have a beer while waiting for the rest of your party you can't do it. Because a waiter doesn't run a tab you can't get a beer before you order and pay for your food. VERY INCONVENIENT! GET WAITERS WITH TABLE TABS UPSTAIRS! 2. If you have kids and they want to get a drink you have to send them downstairs with cash because they have to pay for it at the time. VERY INCONVENIENT! RUN WAITERS WITH TABLE TABS UPSTAIRS! 3. Once everyone in your party does show up and you have decided on your food and drink then EVERYONE has to go downstairs to order, pay and carry the beers. WHY??!! Because the lack of a waiter means that everyone has to go to the cashier and produce their ID as per Utah law to get a glass of beer. VERY INCONVENIENT! RUN WAITERS WITH TABLE TABS UPSTAIRS! The waiter can check everyone's ID at the table. 4. The cashier/take out/food pick-up/beer area is very confusing and disorganized. VERY INCONVENIENT! RUN WAITERS WITH TABLE TABS UPSTAIRS! I'm sure that this place is great for non-drinking family's and teenagers that don't mind ordering a pizza or two and carrying themselves to a table upstairs, but for groups that like a beer and a waiter and don't mind paying for a little service and the convenience of a tab it's not worth the effort. Like I said it works in the small U of U location but at the larger South Jordan location it's a hassle. We aren't in college any more.

ordered via phone, arrived to pick up our pizza at the correct time, waited in line 20 minutes to hear it wasn't quite ready, waited another 15 minutes. finally talked with the manager who couldn't even find our order on the line. so we went to The Pie in Midvale. Absolutely perfect at the Midvale location.. just as promised

Way overrated. Eating their pizza is literally like eating a breadstick that happens to have toppings on it. There is more breading then actual topping. The dough is pretty plain and tasteless as well.

What can i say about the Pie? Its a really darn good pizzeria. I have always gone to the original location in the basement of a drug store across the street from the University of Utah and so i was a bit skeptical at first about how this one would fare out. It was a nice surprise to see how the taste and quality of the pizza hasn't changed but also the vibe of the restaurant was still intact. Instead of having to go downstairs, this place has and upstairs. What a change!!! They also have a patio seating, which is great in the summer. My top recommendation is the Chicken Ranch. My mouth drools just thinking about, must be close to dinner time. Another good fiture is the sizes avaliable at this place. Theres no place I have seen that offers a 23" pizza. That thing is massive!!! FYI, go to the PIE!!!
