Stop asking premium from Asian buyers, India tells OPEC

India today again asked oil cartel OPEC to get rid of premium that is charging its Asian buyers saying oil producers should not subsidise others during the expense of countries like India. Reiterating brand New Delhi’s demand that is decade-old Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said OPEC should work towards “responsible price”, which would allow major consuming countries to give power to your common people.

China warns of trade war if US imposes tariffs on its goods

China has warned of a trade war with the US if the Trump administration decides to ignore WTO rulings and unilaterally imposes tariffs on its goods.
"If any member ignores WTO rules for its own interests and rejects WTO rulings on trade disputes, multilateral trade mechanisms would become meaningless and the trade wars of the 1930s could even be repeated," Sun Jiwei, a spokesperson for the ministry of commerce (MOFCOM) said, reacting to moves by Washington to ignore the world trade body.

Infosys Q2 net profit up 6% on new client wins, beats estimates

Infosys Ltd, India's second-biggest software services exporter, said on Friday its second-quarter net profit rose 6.1 percent, beating market expectations as it racked up new business client wins.
Consolidated net profit was 36.06 billion rupees ($542 million) for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30, up from 33.98 billion rupees a year earlier, the company said in a statement.
