Here is a merry little tune played on one of the xylophones Co-owner Terrence made for a gift from new parents to their baby girl born this past October. The completion of this last xylophone and our last holiday dinner parties is the official end to 2015 for Grates Cove Studios. We will be closed for the remainder of the year and will re-open in early January. Thank you all for a wonderful year. We appreciate all the support near and far and we look forward to continuing to grow here in Grates Cove. It is hard to believe that it has been a little over six years since we started our adventure here. Raising a young family while working to start and grow a business has kept us very busy. Our daughter, i.e. the hostess, has been a part of this adventure. She’s had some great experiences meeting new people and being a part of the great entertainment and even helping us to forage for berries and the like for the restaurant. She has also been a part of the inevitable long days that come with operating your own business. When we moved to Grates Cove, our daughter began attending kids’ groups in the local area and now Sunday school. These experiences for her have been such a blessing, where she has been able to meet and interact with other children and to have her own time. As a small thank you for all those who volunteer their time for children in the Bay de Verde / Old Perlican area, we would like to offer a standing 15% discount at the restaurant on your individual eat-in or take –out orders. This discount is for all of 2016 and is extended to volunteer leaders at Kid’s Groups and Sunday Schools throughout the Old Perlican and Bay de Verde area as well as Girl Guide leaders at our local school. Thank you again for all that you do and for helping our family get settled into the community. It means more than you know. Merry Christmas
