We're delighted to reveal that we've been quietly working with the Pete Quaife Foundation for some time now to bring you Pete's semi-autobiographical novel VERITAS - inspired by his days playing with the Kinks.
Pete died in 2010 at the age of 66. Veritas Vol 1 was finally published in 2012 only to be promptly pulped following a legal dispute regarding the front cover.

When we heard about what had happened and saw that we could help we reached out to Pete's brother David and the Pete Quaife Foundation. We're thrilled and honoured to be fulfilling Pete's wishes and bringing the book to a wider audience and supporting the work of the Pete Quaife Foundation.

Avalard Publishing will be releasing the complete VERITAS (Vol 1 and 2) as an eBook on 31 May 2014 at the PQF Music's event at the Seven Dials Club, Covent Garden, London. We're giving it away as a free download exclusively to those in attendance. Details for how to claim your copy will be revealed on the day.

VERITAS will then be made available to a wider public through the Avalard Publishing website and other online retailers as an eBook.
Proceeds from sales will be going to the Pete Quaife Foundation - which helps kids on dialysis treatment. You can also make a donation directly via http://petequaifefoundation.com/

It is our intention to release a hard-copy edition of the complete VERITAS in due course.

The image you see attached to this post is from a painting by Pete Quaife himself, and will be incorporated into the cover art for the eBook edition. Unfortunately the original artwork is currently missing - if you know where it is, please get in touch either with us at Avalard or the Peter Quaife Foundation.

VERITAS marks the first charity volume from Avalard and the beginning of our reboot for 2014.
