The food, though very good, is mainly rice with vegtables and seems over priced. The main reason people here is for the show and that is where the cost comes into play. Well worth it if your looking to go out with friends for some well thought out culinary arts.

I've been to other Hibachi restaurants and the experience in this rest is the best. The chefs here give their best to not only provide excellent food but also entertainment. I would recommend this to anyone.

We've been to this restaurant several times and I must say that the food isn't the best but it has gotten worse. The food is better then some other Japanese places in Jacksonville. However, some of the chef at the location aren't great. One of them always over salt the food. Last week the service wasn't so great. We were the last customer to be served at the hibachi grill because they closed it early. We were ask to sit at one table, then we were asked to move to another, then we were ask to move back to the original table where another family had been waiting. The food wasn't great and the rice tasted like some butter rice someone made at home. We went there today and the food was extremely salty and the vegetables weren't cooked enough. The onions taste like someone just cut them and placed them on the plate. Most places in Jacksonville don't have good quality flavorful Japanese food. My family loves when we go to downtown Atlanta Japanese restaurant because their food is soooooo delicious!!!!!

This place is AMAZING. Every other place I've gone to since going here doesn't even compare. We had family take us to "the best" Japanese restaurant. Lol...I was like, "You need to visit so I can take you to Shogun!!" Sometimes I do feel your servers could check on us a little more though...I've had empty glasses several times. Oh and I had my sons first birthday there and of course there was a little mess and I normally clean if there is a mess because I was a server for 7 years, but they wouldn't let me. They are too sweet.

I usually go to this place with friends. Yesterday I brought my fiance there but I had horrible service. I dont blame the chef I blame the waitress. First it started off with me not getting any shrimp for when I ordered it but everyone else got what they ordered at the table. The chef got me shrimp later from the waitress. Then my main course the salmon I ordered wasnt there. I was the only one at the table without any main course. When the chef brought it up to the waitress' s attention she made a scene and complained and then brought me some salmon. It really irritated me because while everyone was eating their food I was still waiting on my food. Then when she gives us the receipt she gives me a bill of over a 130 dollars only after I inquire about the bill do I realize its the wrong bill. My bill was in fact 65 dollars for me and my fiance. It was horrible service and I felt disrespected. Its dissapointing because throughout the last two years ive came to this place and ate here without any issues and service and food was great. I even told my fiance how great this place was only to find out that I was wrong. You guys have lost me as a customer. But im still giving it 3 stars because the chef was amazing and the food was great.

Been to several Shogun Japanese Steakhouses but this one fell short. Not sure if it is because we had a new entertainer/grill chef or that this place usually gets filled because of choices to eat in an overpopulated Military town and there is no need to entertain. Figured for $115 it might include some amusement from the chef. We went out with another couple and had a great time with our own conversation, watched the flaming volcano and had some great tasting food. I had the filet and shrimp and the other male had the steak and shrimp....the ladies had a mix of chicken and steak but didn't eat the shrimp, lucky choice. Both of the males couldn't wait to get home to dispose of the rumbling along with the same effects the following morning. Trying to figure this out, being the one who suggested and payed for the meals decided to see if it was what we had eaten their 1 1/2 days earlier.....big mistake, when I say tore my azz up, that is being nice....just glad there wasn't a lot of stomach pain. Between the (2) males, they used the restrooms (3) times and there was always someone sitting...should of taken the hint. I would of preferred to email the actual restaurant but they give you a phone # to call or I guess I could of just stopped by but this happened on the 19th of July and don't get a lot of free time. I actually hope this was a one time occurrence because if not, it will be the last time. Hope all goes better in the future.
