We get a lot of questions about CORI background checks.
Does a CWOF show up on a CORI report?
After the period of the continuance (usually 6-12 months) it does not show up.
During the period of the CWOF, it shows as an open case, not resolved, but not a conviction.

Fortunately Massachusetts doesn't do this. Such a terrible idea.

A maker just created a home built Millennium Falcon drone that has taken off in social media.  The drone is built around a carbon fiber quadcopter frame with foam parts and it is most definitely not a "piece of junk." Not only does this drone look great, it appears to have [...]

Why does Walmart threaten Mass shoplifters via a Long Island law firm?  (Probably because it works, and makes them money)

Good decision from Canada.
Breath tests don't make sense without any probably cause.
In a precedent-setting decision, the Superior Court rules that Northern’s pre-dance breath testing violates constitutional rights.

In the past month, a series of snowstorms and Arctic weather fronts have brought bone-chilling temperatures and record-setting snowfall levels to the Northeastern United States. New England has been especially hard-hit, with parts of Massachusetts and Maine recording more than 100 inches of snow this season.

This is a fairly big deal, and an expansive study by NHTSA.

Drivers at drunken-driving checkpoints don't have to speak to police or even roll down their windows. They just have to place their license and registration on the glass, along with a note saying they have no comment, won't permit a search and want a lawyer. At least, that's the view of a South...

Through a series of out of character, poor choices I was in need of a lawyer; I had never been in trouble with the law to the extent of needing a lawyer prior to this particular incident. After an extensive Google search I came upon Russell Matson's website and was impressed with his case wins and credentials. When I called the office his assistant, Mary Ellen, answered and was absolutely unbelievable at calming my nervousness (a task, I assure you, is not easy). She patiently answered all of my questions and never made me feel like I was calling too much (which I did). Russell was extremely kind and even took the time to return my initial phone call on a weekend. When it came time for the Clerk Magistrates hearing he was as professional as he was comforting. With grace and efficiency Russell identified every aspect that was important and to my relief the case was dropped. I would highly recommend the Law Office of Attorney Russell Matson to anyone and can't express enough how kind they were throughout the entire process.

An absolutely first-rate lawyer. Russ and his assistant, Mary Ellen, always took the time to answer all of my questions, no matter how trivial they seem in hindsight. My particular case was dismissed at the Clerk Magistrate's hearing, as if the incident never even happened at all. Preserving a clean record was of the utmost importance, and I could not have asked for a better outcome than what Russ achieved. If you have a criminal matter and want the peace of mind knowing that you will have the best representation possible, don't hesitate for a second to hire him!

I found Atty Russell Matson to be a caring, honest, reponsive, compassionate and, most important, a very knowledgeable Attorney - a combination of qualities that are rare in the professional world. His experience and sage advice serves his clients well.

After a perfect storm of half-parts happenstance and stupidity, I found myself looking for legal representation for a pending OUI. I reached out to a relative/OUI attorney in Springfield. After hearing the facts of my case she immediately recommended Russell Matson. Her praise for Russell was simply this: He's 'wicked smaht' and he has a GREAT track record. I called Russell right away. Told him my story and answered his questions after which he immediately suggested a course of action which was absolutely right on the money for my particular case. After several delays I finally had my day in court and was tremendously relieved when things went the way we both hoped they would. Without getting into too much detail, let me just say that Russell's advice, his maneuvers in court, and his strategy... was worth every penny (and then some). If you're in a bind and not sure what to do...I strongly urge you to call Russell. He's got the experience you need coupled with a mind like a steel trap and a quality that's exceedingly rare these days...good old fashioned common sense.

The Law Office of Russell Matson answered all of my questions and helped me through a rough spot. I found Russell and Mary Ellen easy to associate with and very knowledgeable about my situation. They were available every time I needed anything. The advise and support I was given was extremely helpful and I would recommend their services with out hesitation.

Atty. Russell Matson is prompt and on target. I found his website by perusing the internet one night. It was prominent and had an question and answer section with Atty. Matson speaking on camera. The following day after my middle of the night email was no less exemplary. He was quick to be in touch. He offered better advice than I had heard from two other highly regarded lawyers. I would hire him in a heartbeat because of his obvious expertise and the level of trust he conveys. Top notch. When you hire an attorney, most are typically at pretty much the same price point for the service they will render. It makes sense to hire only the best! Sincerely, T.D. Brown / Newton, MA
