Agree 100% on the font issue pointed out here. Also annoyed by not seeing people's IM status ....

Hey, Google+, we have to talk.

I don't mind the new layout so much, especially since it at least partially fixes the whole #whitespace  issue you had.

But I really really mind bad font rendering. And you've done something absolutely horrible to the font you use. And I can't seem to find the setting to fix it.

It looks like you are using a WOFF Roboto font. Which isn't horrible in theory, because the Roboto font isn't necessarily ugly. But whatever you are doing to render it should be illegal and counted as a crime against humanity.

Seriously, that's some nasty sh*t. This is the fuzziest font I have ever seen.

Maybe it's the WOFF rasterizer in Chrome that could suck dead baby donkeys through a straw?

Maybe it's that you scale the font size to be "resolution independent". Maybe you tested it on your 1366x768 laptops, and your 1920x1080 desktops, and then said "Screw it, that's good enough".

In fact, maybe you said "Hey, we want to make it equally blurry for everybody, and if you have the extra pixels, we'll make sure to align things on a half-pixel boundary just so that you won't get a better-looking font".

I don't know what it is. But it's bad.

Your WOFF fonts render pretty much sub-optimally, with the stems of the letters aligned at half-pixels to absolutely maximize the fuzziness from anti-aliasing. There's a black pixel core stem, and there are basically 50% gray pixels on both sides of it.

Have you ever heard of font hinting?

Please give me my good fonts back. Don't scale things until they are a fuzzy mess. Ok? Give me a font with proper hinting, or give me the option to at least change the font and font size.

It's not me. It's you.

The pain and agony as a customer is simply not worth their "good values". At the start of our contract, Credo Mobile offered us a "contract buyout" that was to be credited to our line. We supplied all the paperwork, but have yet to see the buyout credit on our account. Over the last three months we have followed up with Credo many times over phone and email, and have been promised that this will be corrected, but it has not. Net result is: Credo talked me into ending my old contract early, promised me to eat the cost, then left me hanging with the bill. Then the real headache begins; At the start of the contract, you are promised a 30 day window to cancel your newly established contract in case you are not happy with your service. Our service worked as expected for about 2 months, then the problems started. 90+% dropped calls within 15 seconds of conversation both inside and outside our apartment. 100% dropped calls on any conversation over 1min30sec. We contacted Credo and got the usual "update your network settings etc. etc." line back, and the problem kept getting worse. While dealing with Credo's customer service on this issue we've been told: -Go outside if you need to make calls. -That less than 2% of our calls are dropped (this, while the line to customer service was dropped 3 times during the conversation). -That we need to perform the same "test" for them now for the 4th time to prove our case and get out of the contract. They refuse to deal with this over email, only over phone (which drops the signal randomly). The last "test" we performed on Credo's behalf to make our case took the better half of two and a half hours due to dropped calls and their CS not calling back, not once! -They have ignored my request to have the case reviewed by a manager that can make a decision on my request to be relieved from the contract unless we can get satisfactory service. As I am writing this, my family is still racking up hours dealing with these problems, with no solution in sight. We contact Credo with complaints, unanswered issued dating back to the start of the contract, they answer as if it's the firs time they hear from us. They then tell us they will look into the issue, then we never hear from them again, and start all over again the next time we contact them. This is nothing short of incompetence. So, even if you like your service in the first 30 days, save yourself the trouble and cancel. Any avenue for reasoned discourse with this company evaporates past the 30 day window. You end up spending your time doing their work, while they collect money from a service that is sub-par, and not even competitively priced.
