There are some great healthy food volunteer events coming up this weekend. Register to join UWCM to glean at the Anne Arundel Food Bank on Saturday or stop by First Fruits Farm in Freeland, MD on Sunday to help harvest their corn crop, which will be donated to low-income central Marylanders.

Every 2 seconds, someone in the U.S. dials 2-1-1. Did you know that United Way of Central Maryland has its own 2-1-1 call center in our office - one that answered more than 90,000 local calls for help last year?

Mobilizing the community to improve lives. GIVE. ADVOCATE. VOLUNTEER.
Introduction
Our mission: To mobilize the community to improve people's lives.

For 87 years, United Way of Central Maryland (UWCM) has been the region’s human service leader. We support programs and initiatives in the city of Baltimore, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford and Howard counties.

UWCM is dedicated to helping vulnerable and at-risk individuals and families meet their basic needs so they can get out of crisis, stay out of crisis and achieve self-sufficiency.

By drawing upon local knowledge, data and expertise to understand the community’s needs, UWCM is able to identify where gaps exist and concentrate on what works in addressing them, serving as a powerful advocate on critical health and human issues.

By encouraging all people in central Maryland to give, advocate or volunteer, UWCM wants to show the true power of LIVING UNITED.
