If you love New York sport's bars, you will love The Gin Mill. TVs everywhere you look. Friendly waitresses dish the Upper Westside's best bar food — if you don't believe us, check out the rating on Best of Citysearch! And the ambiance is old school Manhattan. With a solid Oak bar, strong drinks, an outdoor café, and great happy hours, the Gin Mill brings Cheers to NYC. Are you surprised they are packed every night?

Beer pong in the back. It has your typical bar food (burgers, fries, etc). The atmosphere is mostly college and recent grads reliving the glory days. Great for a Thursday night

I have always heard good things about this place but unfortunately one of the bartenders thought it a good idea to re-charge my credit card and add an extra tip for him/herself without my knowledge. I was there last Saturday 12/22 in the evening...there was one female and one male bartender present and I'm not sure who the culprit was. So while this seems like an ok place to hang out just BE AWARE that this is going on. If you are leaving tips in cash and paying your tab by card MAKE SURE to cross out the tip section and write in the total always. This is actually the one time I forgot to do it and I got taken advantage of.

College bar trying to look a little more upscale, but still attracts college bar types, BUT, not as much as the other locations owned by the same company. It IS near other college bars, so eventually during certain nights, you're bound to pick up some of the runoff from other bars. I preferred it when it was Moe's and they had Mexican themed foods, but we can't all get what we want, I suppose. Nice spot to hang out with friends if you don't wanna spend a lot of money. Just make sure you find a decent bartender to deal with for the night.

I recently went to this establishment to grab a drink with 2 of my friends from out of town. I was held at the door by the bouncer who was staring at me rudely. The minute I presented my ID he informed me that he did not like my energy!! Not sure how a bouncer could ascertain my energy. This has never happened to me before. I informed him he should just be evaluating my ID and not my feelings and he immediately became aggressive. I asked him for my ID and told him I would go elsewhere and I did not feel comfortable and he told me to get the "F" out of here. I felt it my duty to inform others about the way I was treated. Fyi - I had not been drinking at this was my first establishment I visited..

Definitely not for the faint of heart or the unassertive, the fact that it's sandwiched between two (or more?) colleges makes it inevitable that the place is going to be packed. Don't go if it's college night if you can afford to pay more for drinks, but if you're a poor student, you're not going to beat the prices. It's great for groups and if you're planning a large event, they're great with helping you to plan your own happy hour. Expect lots of unwise alcohol consumption and beer pong.

Typical Sports Bar. Was there Friday night and it was pretty loaded with people. Nice atmosphere and awesome playlist (rock). But the real awesomeness was reserved for the ridiculously beautiful barkeepster who helped me pick out the correct beer and gave me a free Goose to make up for advising Bud Light the first go. Made my evening. Anyway: cool place, nothing special.

Great spot for catching up, watching sports - 12+ TVS, and even playing beer pong! Specials are on point here too. I came on a Wednesday to watch the Knicks and Linderella, and pitchers of Bud Light were only $8! Seems like a good place for groups to hang out and get a table. I didn't order any food, but the nachos at the table next to mine looked awesome! And... don't forget about Power Hour on Saturdays! $1Drafts, $2 Shots from 8-9pm!
