“Excellent school of music "The Music Gym"”

My two children are at their happiest when they are attending the "Music Gym" music school based in the Orbital centre in Garston/ Leavesden not far from the vue cinema.
They attend singing and drumming lessons. They have not only grown musically but in confidence too. The teachers are exceptional and are full of enthusiasm for the children encouraging them and improving their musical ability weekly. Letting them choose the song they want to sing and music they want to play -keeping it current and up to date so they never have chance to get bored and always learning something new . They have chance to take exams and work their way through their grades attaining excellent results and high pass rates. The children love the achievement and receiving certificates for something they enjoy doing. The owners work very hard to give the children the full package, striving to give every one them their moment of feeling like a star putting on concerts where they can perform on stage. After going to one of thiese concerts this weekend I was blown away by how much each student of all ages had improved and grown in confidence and performing like stars! Anyone who chooses this music school for their child to Learn an instrument or train vocally is in for a treat to see their child turned into real musicians. They offer group sessions or one to one and which ever way you choose for them to learn the child is encouraged and made to feel good.

Tuesday May 4th 2012: over 800 children from Berrygrove and Orchard primary schools in Watford rocked out to Music Gym's guitar assembly.Aaron Wanford Creative and Aesthetic Strategy leader from Berrygrove said "The children were really engaged and learned about the electric guitar. They were all really keen to join in, and it made music fun and creative for them, and something which everyone could take part in. The children and staff were really buzzing afterwards!"Head teacher of The Orchard primary school Paul Sutton commented "The guitar demonstration was fantastic - the children were inspired and excited about the demonstration from the moment the guitarist started to play. He captivated the whole school whilst engaging all the children in taking part with the songs. We now have half a class of children switching to designing guitars as part of their Design and Technology work - it obviously really connected with them. Thank you for bringing the demonstration to Orchard - hopefully we may see and hear some budding musicians in the future as a result of the demonstration."For more information and to book a free taster guitar lesson please go to www.musicgym.co.uk or call 01923 523027

Article in Watford Observer feat. Aryan from Music Gym singing class watford
We’re all very proud of Aryan who’s in the Watford Observer today!
BY AMIE MULDERRIG Weds 25th April 2012To his teachers and fellow pupils at Parkgate Infants School in north Watford, Aryan Faraboushehri is no different than any other seven-year-old.Except for one particular skill that makes him outstanding – his singing voice. And now he is set to wow crowds at this year’s Woodside Talent Show.Certainly his talent has impressed music teacher Jo Stevens who runs the Music Gym sessions at the Orbital Community Centre in Haines Way.Ms Stevens, a professional singer and songwriter herself, said: “When Aryan joined our singing class we were all stunned by this fabulous voice coming from this little boy.

“It was really incredible to hear him. He’s an absolute star with the voice of an angel.“He has recently taken up guitar lessons with us and we can’t wait to see him singing and playing guitar on stage.” Aryan will get his chance to perform before a live audience at Woodside Talent Show at the Church of the Nazarene in North Watford on Saturday (April 28). The song he has chosen for his debut is Next to Me by Emeli Sande. His family are not surprised at Aryan’s ability. His father Masoud, an administrator at the BUPA Hospital in Bushey , said his son had been listening to music since the day he was born. He said:”My wife Cathy, who was a member of a local church choir, always sang to him as he was growing up and he learned to put sounds and music together instinctively.“He’s a lively boy and has no inhibitions about performing in public. “I look forward to seeing the reaction of the audience at the Woodside show.”Aryan will no doubt be getting full encouragement from his three sisters who keep up the family’s music skills by playing the piano.
