As we passed by my friend and I agreed that we should get a drink here after dinner. It looks like a burlesquey bar out front, with red lighting, red striped couches and visual decadence. But then we noticed their menu and decided to dine and drink simultaneously. The servings are pretty big too (as a nearby patron warned). AMAZING!!! The service was wonderful and our glasses were never empty. We definitely plan on returning.

Downtown cool meets uptown quality at this village winner! One of the best meals in the city - the hefty price tag is well worth the splurge for the innovative, fresh, exciting food in an atmosphere that is warm and welcoming.

We just remember the food! They recommend 1 snack and 2 small plates are enough, but if you are interested in dessert like I am then skip the snack. We did 2 small plates, 3 desserts (1 each and then 1 to share) and we just LOVED every dish. Next time we are going to certainly take advantage of the tasting menu which I think is the best way to go here.

Totally delightful and delicious West Village place. The chef and his wife brought their new baby (Eddie) around for all to admire ... but it's the food that's the standout. Unusual but somehow familiar and toothsome. We will be back LOTS. What dining in New York is all about.

Overpriced small plates. Food was OK but not worth it. $33 for three bites of venison. There are better places to go in the city.

Amazing five-course tasting menu for $75. That's very affordable considering the level of sophistication and uniqueness of each of the dishes. Everything from a light and refreshing hamachi to a rich and flavorful pork belly. The portions are perfect — you leave completely satisfied but without keeling over. The one small issue with the restaurant is simply its size — the tight quarters make for occasional awkward moments when your server clears plates from your neighboring table and bumps into you a bit. Otherwise, this spot is fantastic.

I love the Bloody Mary cocktail, and I also love pork belly, so of course I had to come and try the Berkshire Mary. The drink was scrumptious, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself consuming it with the piece of pork belly and a piece of shrimp. We came for brunch and I ordered the chorizo dish and my friend got the pulled pork sandwich. The pork tasted good but it was a bit too oily and also a few bites were just slightly dry. I don't usually like grits, but the cheesy grits in my plate was good and went well with the salad, the egg, and the shrimp, which was cooked just right. The chorizo was fine, but I wasn't impressed or anything. The dessert was excellent, it was "smores" with graham cracker ice cream and toasted marshmallow. There was a spicy kick to this dish that I liked. The food was not bad, but the best part of this meal was definitely the drink. Also the coffee here was excellent.

Awesome food! They serve good cocktails and their foods just have the right flavors. I've come here a couple times before and everytime it has been good. The place was nicely decorated and it is your money's worth.
