We are the Child and Adolescent At-risk Evaluation for Bipolar Disorder program at UT Health San Antonio.

Our mission is to identify, treat, and prevent symptoms of bipolar disorder in children at-risk for the illness. We work to better understand which children are at-risk for developing the illness and provide early intervention so symptoms do not develop or worsen. Some of the tools we use to study the disorder are brain imaging using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and genetic sequencing.
