Great article. The biggest problem with selling forms is that they give the appearance that they are legally appropriate for a given circumstance or situation.  Often they're not.  For example, on LegalZoom's Deed Transfer Service, they do not mention that the type of deed used can have serious legal consequences, believe it or not, and not in merely a casual way.  Remember that expensive title insurance policy that was purchased at closing?  The wrong deed type can make any protection from that policy vanish.  And at the next closing just when you need that policy, there may be no protection. What about the payment of transfer taxes?  Or tenancy?  These are all valid considerations that online forms companies seem to overlook.  When things matter I recommend using a licensed real estate attorney.  Our firm handles deed transfers outside of closings through
