This is so much nerd and it is amazing how Steve 'just don't care' Colbert goes on with Joe Magniello about D&D ;)

There is also his wife's Sofia Vergara answer to this:

I am not into logistics, but into patterns and systems - and I could watch this all day long! ;) Am I the only one who thinks lego should contact them and make a play "play with at home" version? ;)

What he said. #starwars
»Dear J.J. Abrams,

If you screw up Star Wars, you will forever be known as Jar Jar Abrams.

Sincerely,

Everyone«

Futures of text - A survey of all the current innovation in text as a medium
Some fascinating ideas on how to improve text(s) for interaction
of human with computers / services
"Text is the most socially useful communication technology. It works well in 1:1, 1:N, and M:N modes. It can be indexed and searched efficiently, even by hand. It can be translated. It can be produced and consumed at variable speeds. It is asynchronous. It can be compared, diffed, clustered, corrected, summarized and filtered algorithmically. It permits branching conversations, lurking, annotation, quoting, reviewing, summarizing, structured responses, exegesis, even fan fic. The breadth, scale and depth of ways people use text is unmatched by anything."

Yes, math can be pretty, esp. in 3D!
_These are 3-D printed sculptures designed to animate when spun under a strobe light. The placement of the appendages is determined by the same method nature uses in pinecones and sunflowers. The rotation speed is synchronized to the strobe so that one flash occurs every time the sculpture turns 137.5º—the golden angle. If you count the number of spirals on any of these sculptures you will find that they are always Fibonacci numbers.
For this video, rather than using a strobe, the camera was set to a very short shutter speed (1/4000 sec) in order to freeze the spinning sculpture. John Edmark is an inventor/designer/artist. He teaches design at Stanford University._
