I just started to get into sewing, and I've made far too many trips to this amazing shop. Their fabrics are the best, and so cute! I've been to Dressew and looked at similar prints and fabrics, and they are about the same price. They have cheaper options at Dressew, but I'm not crazy about the look of those fabrics. I don't think prices are crazy expensive at Spool of Thread for the quality, and you can't find those prints at any other store. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and they have a lot of great pattern selection as well. I've gone to two sewing classes at Spool of Thread, and one was amazing, and the other put me off a bit. The zipper pouch class was so much fun, I learned a ton, and the teacher was so patient (I think his name was Mark). He also made conversation with the whole class and was friendly and funny and made it a great experience. I almost didn't come back after my first experience during the tote bag class, but I really wanted to learn more about sewing. A previous reviewer had a bad experience, and it sounds like the same teacher I had, and I experienced similar treatment. I had never touched a sewing machine before and asked her a question, and her response was, "why would you do that?" Well, I don't know, I know nothing about sewing! That's kind of why I'm here. There were other moments like that, and I felt very frustrated. That was just one teacher and experience, and from what I've heard, the other instructors are great and the classes are really interesting so don't let that deter you from attending a class. I love this place, and I feel confused about the recent negative reviews. It's a boutique sewing store! It's not going to have the selection on accessories like a place like Dressew. They are more about the unique, one-of-a kind fabrics and it's a really fun time shopping here.

I had an amazing experience with Handyman2Go. Fred was very friendly and efficient, and responded to my request immediately. He did a great job putting together my large dresser and chest, and even fixed my impossible dishwasher for the next year or two so I didn't have to find a replacement. The price was really affordable too, considering the amount of work he did on my apartment. Would highly recommend his services!
