To echo other reviewers, Merzi is like Chipotle for Indian food. Which is to say, it's counter service in which you pick one base from a list of bases, then one protein from a list of proteins, then one sauce from a list of sauces, etc. I got one combo and my fiance got something entirely different; both were absolutely delicious. I wished the chunks of meat were bigger, but otherwise was so pleased. I'm eager to go back and try out more combos. I do hope that the music will be less... teen bop... though. As for what I ate specifically--the regular chicken on naan with medium sauce and medium chutney. It had some bite to it, but was not overly spicy. Even my fiance's dish with the full-on spicy choices was not that spicy. We each got a samosa, as well. It was okay. This was the least impressive part of the meal.

Merzi is the perfect place to go if you're looking for a quick bite to eat. Merzi works like a Chiptole restaurant, but offers Indian instead of Mexican food. The prices are reasonable for the portion sizes and you'll walk away feeling fully satisfied.

Being on call means eating on the go. With no time for fancy sit down date, my husband and I came to Merzi for a quick meal. I love the Chipotle's concept and found that Merzi's did not differ or disappoint! I created my own chaat bowl (Tandisserie chicken, cucumber salad, tomato salsa, corn, onion, chick peas, potato, and cabbage in mild and hot curry sauce + garlic yogurt + cucumber chutney sauce) while my husband made his own naan bowl (diced marinated chicken, corns, cucumber salad in medium curry sauce). Unlike Shophouse, you are allowed to ask for seconds (extra corn please!). Even though my bowl was swimming all sorts of curry and chutney, they surprisingly worked well with each other. My bowl was bursting with flavors and I couldn't get enough. My tandisserie chicken was so tender and juicy. I never expected such moist, well cooked chicken thigh to come from a fast food eatery like Merzi. My husband's marinated chicken was also very flavorful and couldn't be happier to help him polish his bowl. My only wish was that they would have additional sides. Cucumber salad and corns were a little boring. Are they even considered to be Indian sides? Nevertheless, would definitely return!

good not great indian style food. it's not exactly traditional but that's not a bad thing. i'd suggest getting the chatt or rice vs the naan. the samosa was good the food was good and service is super fast. it's comparable to a chipotle or subway if you are looking for cheap good indian style food for lunch i'd recommend merzi
