Please accept this invitation to join us research presentation event on “THE CHALLENGES POOR FAMILIES FACE IN MOGADISHU DUE TO INSECURITY”.
We consider this event as starting point for several events where we can facilitate the dialogue between academics, government ministries, NGO’s and community stakeholders for fruitful outcomes (e.g. co-production of information leaflets, worksheets, exchange of information etc.)
We appreciate your consideration and look forward to seeing you there.

This year Indian Ocean University marked the 20th Anniversary of its founding. Eng. Moh’ed Ali-Dahir, as we all know, was a moving spirit behind building a private university in #Somalia to educate future leaders. On behalf of me and my fellow senior administrators we want to thank you-all of the faculty and staff of the Indian Ocean University- for the many contributions you've made over the last year. The past year has challenged all of us. We have all made sacrifices-the most important being the willingness of faculty and staff to take part the building of the new campus. The growth in enrolment and facilities that we have experienced in the past few years is a strong indication of how hard we are working to become one of the East African’s top comprehensive universities. Indian Ocean University is entering a new stage of progress. The year 2014 will be marked by various commemorative events and projects here at home and abroad. In 2014, we will launch an ambitious new service for the University, dedicated to raising the quality of our programs, facilities, and level of support for students, research, and learning.
