We went for my birthday celebration dinner on oct 10th. They were prompt in sitting us but there was a continuous effort to push us out as before we could finish one food item some one will try to take the plate off as if they were in great haste to turn out for the next customer. To the extent when i stood up as my wife wanted to go to the Ladies room one of the staff said," Thank you for coming" and began clearing the table. We had paid our bills but were enjoying our coffee and dessert. At that point we just left. Unfortunately I had left my birthday gift from my wife- a card with her signature and a Barnes and Nobles Gift card. We called them in five minutes and they said they found nothing and they will call us back if the waiter deposits the items. We have not received any calls till today. I do not recommend this restaurant at all and ask people to be extremely careful with personal belongings in case they do there. Also i hope the management reads this and treat people gently and not as numbers to make more money.

Great atmosphere and good food. One can't go wrong eating here. From a cost perspective it is a little on the high side; however, I did not think it was out of line with the quality.

I went to the Back Bay location for a work dinner and was pleasantly surprised. Delicious food - everyone seemed to love their entrees. Great wine. Good atmosphere. Will be back.

The food was pretty good. I definitely recommend the Torta appetizer: Duck confit baked in a pastry shell, caramelized onions, goat cheese, baby kale, mustard crema. It's even better than it sounds. You will not be disappointed once this delicious creation reaches your taste buds! I got the Lobster Cavatelle for my main course and it was a little sporadic. I might have left some items out if it were up to me (the corn didn't taste right in the dish, made it too sweet), but overall it was very good. I'd go back.....probably.

A family tradition every time we're in Boston together. With our Italian background and California lifestyle, Lucca is the perfect combination of light and elegant Italian food. The special appetizer is delicious with duck in a pastry and an incredible sauce. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, while still elegant. Always a perfect meal!

We made reservations but waited for about 10-15 minutes. The man at the front who was helping the hostess was very friendly and added a lot to the homey experience. The service was a bit slow but it seemed like the waitress had the entire basement. The food was good (I had gnocci) but not the best I had ever had. I would try a different meal if I went back.

Perhaps the kitchen was having an exceptionally off night. My dining companion and I ordered two different dishes; both earned entry into the Pantheon of Preposterous Preparation. An expectedly simple pasta, red sauce and vegetables dish, and my orrechiette "au gratin" (not what I expected, needless to say) were inedible and bore no resemblance to Italian food. I have the photos to prove it, and even as photos they're queasiness-inducing!
