Looking at backing this. I haven't pulled the trigger yet.

For the foodie in you

Spice up your weekend by busting out this homemade Sriracha-style hot sauce from the pages of MAKE Volume 38: http://makezine.com/projects/make-38-cameras-and-av/diy-sriracha-rooster-sauce/ The batch we made at MAKE HQ is almost all gone and a bunch of us agree it's even tastier than the original!

Never mind the home made sauce: I want the home made dual-head Sriracha Nozzle!

I see Calvin, Ziggy, a Don Martin guy, and The Yellow Kid. Has she been reading classic comic strips?

After 9 1/2 years of delaying the inevitable, looks like I will have to buy a computer for the kids. What changed my mind? Seems that Alexander is spending a lot of time on the school computers and his computing skills are lagging behind his classmates.

While we have Mac in our home, his school is running with Windows 7 and MS office.

So the 64K  question, got any recommendations and/or suggestions for a laptop?

I was curious about the "S." by J.J. Abrams & Doug Dorst. I've read three pages so far (got it from the library). Man it takes a lot out of you. If you haven't heard, "S." is about a fictional book which two people talking to each by writing in the margins. There are lots of artefacts as well (telegrams, postcards, newspaper clippings). The quality of the book is exceptional. I have no idea how they can make money on this if they are charging 24$.  I will continue reading this for a while and if I still enjoy it after 50 pages, I'll pull the trigger and buy.

Be careful. Lots of paper to fall out of the book. My library copy "looks" to be complete but who knows.

One of my favourite movies of all times is "Swingers". I loved the dialogue, the attitude, the style and the music.

Here is a long article about how the movie got made.

Here is my first map using pen and paper. It is a hidden pirate alcove. I must admit that I stole a bunch of ideas from +matt jackson and +Dyson Logos

Maybe I should have erased my pencil marks ;)

Hatching looks easy but it is hard as hell and time consuming.

It looks awesome. I often get too excited to scan my maps when I'm done inking them and forget to erase the pencil marks too.

It's been awhile since I posted anything Lego related but this was too beautiful to pass up.

A 1933 Ferrari that won Lemans.

There needs to be some way to identify 'standard' lego pieces. Those front fenders appear to have compound curved pieces.
