Frankie Bordeaux is a Greenville, North Carolina-based businessman, property management and real estate developer, and devoted advocate for children. He is a strong community leader who believes in hands-on interaction with those organizations he supports. In 2010, tired of political waste, Frankie Bordeaux ran for a seat in the North Carolina State Senate.
In addition to his business and political involvement, Frankie Bordeaux’s other interests are officiating NCAA men’s basketball, playing golf and fishing. After graduating from Wilmington’s John T. Hoggard High School, Frankie Bordeaux went on to obtain a B.S. degree from Elizabeth City State University in Elizabeth City, NC. After graduating from Elizabeth City State University, Frankie enrolled in graduate studies at North Carolina Central University in Durham, N.C. Soon after, he began his long time career with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. Frankie Bordeaux is a graduate of the Institute of Political Leadership and plans to complete his Master’s degree sometime in the future.
Professionally, Frankie Bordeaux has a long history of involvement with nonprofit community youth serving organizations. He worked as Program Director for the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club in Durham, NC for two years and then worked in the same position for Boys and Girls Club of Winston Salem, NC. Frankie Bordeaux was selected as the Executive Director of the Nash and Edgecombe Counties Boys and Girls Club in August 1985. After 25 years of service, Frankie Bordeaux retired from the Nash and Edgecombe Counties Boys and Girls Clubs in May 2004.
Frankie Bordeaux has many accomplishments and has served in numerous civic organizations: former member of the Rocky Mt Rotary Club (The Paul Harris Fellow) former Kiwanis, former member of the Rocky Mt City Board of Adjustment, U.S. Marine Corps Excellence in Leadership Award recipient, Political Institute graduate, United Way, Greenville, NC Branch Bank and Trust Board of Directors and Unity Lodge 64 (Prince Hall Affiliate). Additionally, Frankie Bordeaux is a lifetime member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Omega Psi Phi is an African-American brotherhood of men with the common goal of providing community service and leadership programs along with promoting positive experiences in their respective communities. Frankie Bordeaux is a proud member of this fraternal organization which boasts members from Michael Jordan and Bill Cosby to the Rev. Jesse Jackson.
At home, Frankie Bordeaux is a devoted husband and father. He and his wife, Faye, have five children and enjoy spending time with their extended family at Sycamore Hill Baptist Church in Greenville, NC. Frankie Bordeaux ’s heritage includes a large nuclear family that consists of his late mother, Carrie Bordeaux, his father, William Bordeaux, Sr., two brothers and three sisters.
