Absolutely legit. The tortillas they use for the tacos are freshly made right in front of you. The quality is good and the prices are reasonable. I think this may be the best taco truck I have tried. FOOD Tacos - the tortillas are freshly made right in front of you! Al Pastor- good flavor, great stuff. Carne Asada - tasty but meat quality is avg Lengua - tender, good. Cabeza - tasty, soft, but a little too salty for me Carne Asada Fries - The fries themselves were crispy and the thicker type fries. They are covered with sour cream, cheese, slices of avocado (instead of guacamole), and meat ( I got half asada and half al pastor). I've had my share of carne asada fries and while these might not be the best, they are still decent. SERVICE Good. Good attitude, reasonable wait time. PARKING: Street, spots near the truck, or across at jack

Such a LOOOOOOOONG wait for a lack-luster burrito.... And perhaps it's my fault because I came super hungry and sort of late...But it was 100% their fault that they didn't have most of the ingredients as advertised. I got the Veggie Burrito (Rice & Beans, Lettuce, Tomato, Sour Cream, Shredder Cheese, Avocado, Onions & Cilantro) and was excited because I LOVE Avocado. But 30 mins after I ordered and actually received my food I bit into my burrito and realized they didn't add my avocado! A couple of my friends who ordered burritos also didn't get any avocado so I can only assume they were out. I would think they could have warned customers because that is a crucial ingredient to the tastiness of the burrito. Also they didn't add the sour cream and went light on the tomato. So negative- LONG wait, OK burrito, and they didn't tell me what they didn't have. I would suggest sticking to the tacos! They are pretty inexpensive and great without the extras. My friend who ordered the tacos wasn't disappointed in the least. They did experience a fry shortage for a while and a lot of ppl had to wait extra-long for their orders so I would be mindful of that and maybe order something like the tacos were it's a bit more simple. They do have an amazing menu with tons of great options but again ask before you buy. Overall wasn't impressed but it has potential if you know how to order!

There are times when the good reviews beat the bad ones so I decided to give El Flamin Taco a Try. On Sep 05 2014 I had to ask for my money back because the burritos ( two burritos: one Asada the second al pastor) where horrible. I had asked for extra meat, yet my Wife and I only tasted beans and rice and some Tiny insignificant pieces of meat. I recommend that you don't waste your time... You might like it if you are drunk lol but other than that I doubt that people will find indulgement for their taste buds at this truck... They don't wash their hands even though they have a big pretty sink!!! So watch out because they claim to make their tortillas by Hand.

This listing says this place has closed or relocated, but that's not true. It's actually a taco truck with several locations, including one in Hollywood, Echo Park, and I believe, Atwater. The Koreatown truck is located at 505 S. Vermont every night (except Monday) from about 7 pm onward. They handmake their tortillas, and I highly recommend the al pastor tacos, which are prepared on a spit outside of the truck and come with a piece of pineapple.

El Flamin is seriously the best damn taco truck I have ever encountered. This place is the real deal. Although they are only open during the late night hours, it is worth to indulge in this heavenly goodness. Every bite is delicious and the last bite is always the saddest. El Flamin is known for their al pastor but all of their meats are tender, flavorful, delicious, and authentic. They actually have someone carving the al pastor in the front of the lot for everyone to see. It is amazing to see the man in action and cutting the meat so quickly. They add a pineapple on top of the taco as well for a sweet and savory taste.

I've been in LA for a few years now and tried my share of Taco trucks, but nothing ever comes close to the sweet pineapple and rich flavor of El Flamin's El Pastor taco. Topped with some salsa and their delicious fresh tortillas and a bottle of mango juice it is basically the best way to start or end and night. Be aware though, they aren't open on Mondays.
