Book Review: Armor of the Fallen: Wielder of the Gauntlets Book 1 by Jason A. Dimmick.

A very effective hook:

Answer the call. Wield the Gauntlets. Fight the Fallen. Protect all mankind.

Fallen angels, their war against mankind, one last Wielder. An adolescent of faith, coming of age. Spiritual warfare.

Impressive debut novel. Strongly recommended.

Today, I am highlighting Jeremy Bullard, Christian novelist of 2 science-fiction and fantasy novels. I have watched Jeremy describe his writing journey and these two novels in a Facebook group we both belong to and I am impressed with the depth of imagination and creativity he has. I am sure you will detect some of this as you read his post.

Book Review And Award: The Third Strand (Book II in The Omega Watchers Series) by Jane Woodlee Hedrick.

The anticipated sequel is nearly here!

Eschatological Fiction, bringing current events with Biblical prophesy.

Authors and readers want the sequel to be better than the previous or at least on par with. Well, for me, this sequel exceeded my expectations. It would not surprise me that every reader who has read and praised The Omega Watchers will be doing more of the same once they finish The Third Strand. It sets the bar above its predecessor. Highly Recommended.

I originally published this review on 13/06/15. I have read it again in preparation for the sequel, The Third Strand, soon to be released. I have added minor additions to the review and an Award as this novel now meets the criteria since The Reality Calling Christian Fiction Awards have been instigated.

Today, I am spotlighting Christian novelist, Sean Young. He contacted me via this blog requesting a review of his new novel, To Fear the Dawn. When I checked out the link to his Amazon author page, I made a surprise discovery. I recognised one of his previous novels, Violent Sands. I read this many years ago and loved it. Good news is that this novel will be revised and released as a trilogy. I am looking forward to reading this new edition later this year.

Guest Post: Novelist Alexander Preston and his debut novel, Harvest of Prey. If you like stories that push the envelope concerning genetic engineering past what God has created and technothrillers, science fiction and fantasy, then this novel and the background to it in this post is worth checking out.

Book Review and Redemptive Fiction Award: Marshal Texas Ranger: The Case of the Hidden Pasts by George McVey.

A man with amnesia, his past and memories erased supernaturally and given a special gift and mission from God. Deductive reasoning and techniques akin to Sherlock Holmes. An assassination attempt. Redemptive Fiction done well by McVey.
