Volunteers routinely practice stabilization techniques designed to "make the scene safe". Vehicle stabilization is the first step in an extrication rescue. We have the supports, Jacks, and other shoring tools necessary, manpower is our most critical need.

April 23rd, 2017 has been designated Statewide Recruitment Day. This is especially important on Maryland's Eastern Shore, where all emergency fire & rescue operations are carried out by volunteers. All Talbot County Fire & Rescue departments are looking for new members, so visit you local company and see how you can help!

Maryland State Income tax subtraction for volunteers is one of the many benefits of volunteering with you local fire company. This year, $4,000 can be deducted from you Maryland adjusted gross income for tax purposes. Call or visit your local fire company for information on this and other benefits.

Linda Chalupa inducted into the Talbot County Vol. Fire & Rescue Association Hall of Fame - Linda Chalupa helped pioneer a role for women in the Company, since she was one of the first responding female members of the Queen Anne-Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Company. Running EMS responses in the back of a converted delivery van, in the years before this Company acquired its first NFPA approved ambulance. She accepted the nomination and served as the Company Treasurer since the passing of former treasurer, Mrs. Beverly McNeal in 2009. She is universally recognized as this Station’s most valuable member, bar none.

Thanks to everyone who came out last night to make our 10th Annual Sportsman's Bingo a huge success. Also a big thanks to all the members and non-members for working the event. Hope everyone had a great time! See you next year!
