Be a part of MCM- from the ground, UP! Purchase a brick paver for a loved one or for your family. Pave the way for Mississippi's children and support MCM! http://ow.ly/ROaIQ
The MCM's new outdoor gallery of 2014, The Literacy Garden, is now open thanks to your help! Supported by the Build. Play. Grow. capital campaign, The Literacy Garden is a great donor opportunity for educational programming. We still need your help to sustain and develop this exciting exhibit!

We have a membership and usually love it there. There was one time a manager was rude to me while I was nursing my baby because my daughter took some snacks out of our bag and apparently they don't allow outside food- but their "cafe" wasn't even open yet. Aside from that, we've had pretty good experiences every time we've been. They have different showcases now and then change things up. The giant Scrabble board is the best! They have a splash pad out front and a fenced outdoor area with a water fall. They grow herbs and (from what I've heard) will allow people to take them home. They've definitely got learning with modern technology down! There are so many things they teach and shows that it's hard to keep up!

This place is fantastic!!!! My little boy (almost 2) loves this place. There are all sorts of interactive exhibits for various ages and they're all about Mississippi! It's a must if you have children (especially younger ones) but I'd go even without my son!

Awesome place to take your kids. Crazy amounts of stuff for them to do. Just watch out for all of those stairs because you can very easily lose your little one if they are attracted to them :-)

My son is 8 and we've been here a half dozen times in the past 2 years. He loves it and could spend hours more if I didn't make him leave. There are a lot of exhibits that haven't changed at all and they could definitely use an overhaul but it's still a good place, as far as Mississippi goes. The Red Rocket Cafe actually has decent food! Try the Spin Art if it's open, they end up looking pretty nifty. Fun and educational! I love the Scrabble floor and the exhibit that changes every couple of months.

Pretty fun for the kids, lots of options like music, science, library, water, tunnels, jobs, etc. Only complaints are high price at $10 per person, toys don't look like they're cleaned very often, and stairs are not guarded.

Stairs are everywhere... Not very stroller or wheelchair friendly. But kids have a great time!
