Wouldn't recommend this place, even though the food was good. Our party of 3 came in around 3pm on a Friday so the restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were sated almost immediately. We had up wait as for the staff to move a ladder out from in front of the main entryway. The atmosphere here was very nice, the food was good, but the service was really bad, (i mean really bad). The staff seemed friendly but confused. We ordered our drinks (2 beers and a coke and a round of water). The water and coke came in about 10 minutes and the waitress said she was still waiting on the bartender for the beer. About 5 minutes later we were informed that the beer we wanted was unavailable. After about 10 more minutes our beer finally came but was the wrong one. Another 5 minutes we finally got the right drink order. Our food went to the wrong table. We asked for a refill for the coke, the glass was taken but we didn't see our waitress until it was time for the check. I overheard the next table discussing the same concerns about poor service. I didn't even get a chance to tell the waitress that the glass my beer came in was broken. Anyway we were ready to leave so we asked for the check to be split and the waitress had no clue what we even ordered. All across the board, the waitress, bartender, and kitchen staff really failed to impress when it came to service.

Here on business; looked nice. One would think that at a place with these prices they would offer better service. Our server forgot multiple drinks, got drink orders wrong, etc. She continuously walked away while we were trying to talk to her. I will not stop here next time I am in d.c.

My friend and I came here for happy hour on a friday night. The menu for happy hour looked pretty good. When we first arrived, the bar was packed! Mostly due to the caps game I am sure. After an hour, we were able to get a seat at the bar. It was pretty easy for us to get drinks while standing. I have to say the $3.25 for beer is not that bad, they have cocktails that are $6. I enjoyed the IPA and the Brown nut. The brown nut had more of a coffee taste. We ordered the sliders, both were very good. The prime rib slider and kobe beef slider. I was a little nervous about how strong the horse radish was going to be on the prime rib slider, but it was actually pretty light and complemented the prime rib really well! I am definitely looking forward to coming back and trying other happy hour items. great place to go before any even at the verizon center

Being a 1/3 block away from the Verizon Center, I recommend District ChopHouse before a (wizards, caps) game at the Verizon Center for happy hour. District ChopHouse has a barlike atmosphere, but perfect for a bite to eat and a beer or two. Their brown ale meatballs are delicious and especially is you wash it down with their India Pale Ale beer. You are now ready to enjoy that game!

Exemplary!! I'll be frank here, all the people saying the service was bad is a very subjective opinion. I ate here tonight and absolutely loved my server, Eyosef, and thought he was absolutly delightful. He didn't rush us, got all of our orders correct and was extremely polite. The food was beyond delicious. Being a steak aficionado, I have had steak all over the globe and have found that this place makes the best bone-in ribe eye I have ever tasted! The meat was juicy, not too tender, and perfectly seasoned! Delicious! I highly recommend going here if you are looking for a fine dining experience (and giagantic onion rings (yea, I had those too)).

Great beers! Awesome atmosphere. Not snobby like most restaurants around the area. Get the beer samplers, great way to get experience all of the brewery's catalog.

Nice atmosphere, we had a large table which is always a challenge for a busy restaurant during the holiday season, service was good. overall I would say the food was just ok though. Better than a mid priced chain steak house, but definitely not on par with better local places. In house brews were good though. Maybe a better bet would be the sandwich menu. A couple people in our group had salads, which all seemed underwhelming.
