Samuel Kerridge

Flying in from Berlin, Samuel Kerridge will no doubt be providing a jaw breaking left hook of doom rumbling techno with massive blasts of low end frequencies to further initiate aural confusion.
Set your ears to the stun selection for a feast of mind altering drone spliced with stark industrial beats and a ferocious backbone of rhythmic and bombastic soundscapes.

Drunk in Hell

Essential and hate mongering blasts of noise rock from the North East and self proclaimed purveyors of booze, drugs, sex, violence, violent sex, porn, anxiety and depression hell, personality disorders, insomnia, paranoia, hanging around waiting to score, scoring shit gear, shit nights out, hangovers and comedowns.

GunCleaner

GunCleaner are a duo of miscreants from Sly & The Family Drone who create dark aural trips into a near obliterated world of sonic noisescapes and jarring nuances of industrial techno.
It might not be pretty but neither is real life.
And remember, when cleaning your Glock 9mm, make sure it's loaded.

Karen Gwyer
Originally from the state of Michigan in the US but now based in London, Karen Gwyer blends together a rich music tapestry that combines classic house and digital psychedelia with a thunderous blend of analogue techno and her distinctive synth strokes riding high above on a cavalcade of pulsating rhythms.

Hey Colossus
This highly prolific band from London and the Somerset area have long been carving a niche all of their own amongst the murky world of krautrock soaked noise sludge. With their eighth album forthcoming on Rocket Recordings, the band further push the envelope mixing in high octane space rock and electronically fried dub mantras.

Magpahi
Magpahi is the solo project of Alison Cooper whose previous projects include N Racker, Womb, Crystal Mirrors, Supernatural Lancashire. With Magpahi, there is an ethereal and delicate mix of acid folk harmonies that capture songs of fairytale-esque sonnets of both beauty and mystery which has been captured on releases by Disposable Music, Folklore Tapes, Bird Records.

Andy Stott
We're absolutely excited to have Andy Stott come and headline Golden Cabinet's first birthday extravaganza. A Manchester based DJ and music producer who creates dazzling fusions of ambient, dub and techno. No other explanation is required, don't sleep and miss out on this. Check out his extensive myriad of releases on Modern Love records.

Rainer Veil
Another mainstay from the Modern Love label, Rainer Veil craft gorgeous downbeat forays into dubstep and mechanized ambience. Their sound is that overwhelming emotional impact of going clubbing until the sun comes up and knowing damn well you've had a great time even if you're going home alone.

Bo & Lx (DJ set)
These two local likely lads have both previously performed individual DJ sets at Golden Cabinet but for this event they will be joining forces as they fuse together a force majeure of aural highlights for your music appreciation.

£10 advance.
NB – This is an advance TICKET ONLY gig. There will be none available on the door.

Bands will finish in time for last trains back to Leeds and Bradford.

Only 100 tickets.
This is only one of two shows that Vatican Shadow will be playing whilst in the UK. The other is in London as part of ATP Jabberwocky festival.
If you live north of the Watford Gap - DON'T MISS OUT on this.

Vatican Shadow
From New York's East Village, Vatican Shadow is the multi-media artist Dominick Fernow and founder of the Hospital Productions label, Fernow continues to blow minds with his Bed Of Nails Compound - a new imprint for industrial techno and electronic environments.

Vatican Shadow's melodic loops and militant rhythms conspire upon the world stage of conflict and leave the listener unclear as to what side they are on or who is actually winning.

Machine Woman
A sound artist and image maker, Russian born Anastasia Vtorova is inspired by the late night listening of down beat and minimal electronica music along with the melancholic world wide cinema.

Her “Pink Silk” cassette on the Tesla Tapes label is the sound of someone rising up from murky warehouse parties with a bag full of ammo and ideas ready to be unleashed on the bug eyed masses.

A New Line (Related)
Former member of Hood and The Remote Viewer, Andrew Johnson has since re-emerged with a new project, A New Line (Related) with songs that fuse elements of house, krautrock and melancholy sunset sessions.

Utilising tools from the early days of home produced underground dance music, his startling compositions are further awash with haunting influences of evocative and mind scrambling techno.

Shit And Shine

An amalgamation of madness may be one cute description for Shit And Shine who are playing but a handful of dates here in the UK.
With an ever revolving door of musicians, this US / UK hybrid perform a rhythmic smorgasbord of tunes that are electronica at their core yet with an accompaniment of multi drummers which adds a further eclectic twist to their sonic combustion.
Shit And Shine have been excessively busy since 2004 pumping out a whole plethora of releases, often imaginatively titled and often with compositions that don't stop until they've hit the forty minute mark.

Come and witness them (nearly) destroying Golden Cabinet and all who sail in her.

Dwellings

Chris Haslam (from the mighty Gnod) is the main man behind Dwellings.
Producing writhing, staccato and mechanized patterns from a Vermona DRM analog drum machine which is then harnessed with scathing synth shapes, a heavy slice of dub and claustrophobic clouds of drone.
Add to that a brooding techno rhythm and moments of dark apocalyptic ambience are further forays into a netherworld of music brutality as portrayed on the “Don't Say Nothing” cassette which was recently released on the Tesla Tapes label.

Nadir

Imagine the fear and panic whilst coming down from a bad trip and simultaneously drowning in a pool of tar - that may perhaps be one apt description of the sound created by this behemoth.
From Nottingham, Nadir crank out endless massive riffs of theremin overdosed heavy psychedelia murk and doom laden sludge.

Don't expect happy clappy acoustic guitar renditions whilst sat around the campire, just preparation to be aurally destroyed.

For some, the name William Bennett will long be synonymous with the harsh noise and power electronic scenes via his previous band Whitehouse.

With Cut Hands the emphasis is now on utilising obscure African percussion elements in a free form workout with almost any other type of sound experimenting,

Cut Hands shift fully onto rhythm with an additional major influence being Bennett's love of and engagement with Haitian vaudou music, their involvement with physical and mental motion and the intense, hallucinatory states this can inflict upon the mind.

Necro Deathmort
This London based duo are continuing to turn heads and are making a name for themselves across a variety of music genres and scenes.

Instilling a mechanised overkill of ferocious industrial drone that is finely entwined with their own unique dub infused electronic bleakness.

Filth ridden soundscapes jostle against the ambient hints of maligned trip-hop that is captured and let loose from their sonic bass heavy malevolence.

Prepare to be pummeled.

Isnaj Dui
Standing awkwardly between neo-impressionism and electronica, Isnaj Dui conveys a minimal yet capturing sound using electronically manipulated flutes and homemade instruments.
